Get A Fee-Waived $200 Mastercard Gift Card From Staples This Week!

Staples is waiving the $6.95 purchase fee on $200 Mastercard gift cards through 4/28.

Use your Chase Ink Business Cash, Ink Plus or Ink Bold card and get 5 points per dollar spent. Click Here to get more details on this card and compare to other business travel cards!

Or you can use an AMEX SimplyCash card to earn 5% cash back.

Some stores may limit you to 1 transaction, but some stores won’t have any limits at all, which would allow you to scale the savings quite nicely.

If you buy a $200 Mastercard gift card you’ll earn 1,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points by charging it to an Ink Cash card. If you use your points at an average value of 2 cents each, then that’s like getting $20 back!

Mastercard gift cards should have the PIN number in the package. They’re a bit trickier to use at WalMart, you need to hit cancel on the keypad after swiping it in order to change it to a debit payment before using it to load Bluebird, buying money orders, or using bill pay. You can also buy money orders at various grocery stores and gas stations.

Or you can donate the gift card to charity and get a receipt for the full face value.

Or you can give away a gift card as a wedding or Bar Mitzvah gift.

Or you can always use it for everyday spending while earning 5% or 5 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per dollar everywhere!

Five towns yid

I recently received a T-Mobile MasterCard debit card as a rebate for buying a new phone. I was amazed to learn that there is an ability to go into a Bank of America and with $0 fee I was able to get the cash. I have no idea if that will work with these type of MasterCards but it is something worth looking into.

How did you get the cash out, in person or at the ATM ?

This would help a lot of people if you could please answer

What should I ask to the cashier?
Should I ask for non-BankOfAmerica debit card withdrawal? Or something else?

This would help a lot of people if you could please answer

Will purchasing this gift card work to fulfill an AMEX blue business spending requirement?

The Amex Simply Cash states
“5% cash back on wireless telephone services purchased directly from U.S. service providers and U.S. office supply stores”.

Do i get 5% cash back on EVERYTHING in office supply stores?

@fivetownsyid how did you go through the Tmobile/BOA thing?

Is this available online? I cant seem to find it

Can I purchase multiple cards on one transaction and the fees will be waived for all of them?

I was going to buy 8, but the manager said one per customer. I assume only one card per transaction will not have a fee. Please buy 2 and post the answer.

Yes, I just bought 10 in one transaction.

Thank you, Dan

Just tried to buy at my local Staples and not a single MGC would scan. Something wrong with the SKU.

Had the same problem. Manager told me they just got a new brand . Went back to the stand and took the old brand, No problems

same problem today at the brooklyn location

same problem

@ Walmart i always have a hard time with mastercard, do you mean cancel on the keypad or on the screen? its also popping up the option to cancel on the screen for a split second

Is buying gc too risky if didn’t meet spend yet ? Ink cash

Thank you Dan as always was able to buy two cards The manager at the store said that there was a bunch of cards that did not scan and they would have to send it back to the company

Mr. CC

Can Amex see that I bought a gift card? asking regarding sign up bonus

I’ve been hearing from other blogs that that there is much fraud with MasterCard Gift Cards. Can anyone please explain? Thanks

basically the key is to use them achshav , right away after you acitvate them, i tarried a bit and by the time i got to the po a week or 2 later 2 of 20 mc cards were hacked into and the balance was used at a cardenas market somewhere, filed a claim and was busy with it for a while pain in the neck and hassle took months of waiting and calling every few weeks before i finally got the money back awful

Bluebird still exists? I thought most everyone had their accounts closed ages ago and that the product itself went bye bye….

How can I cash out these gift cards?

Hey Dan, staples wouldn’t let me pay for the cards by credit card. They said it’s company policy. Only cash or debit cards.

I tried cashing out the gift cards for money orders at both Wal-Mart and two different post offices, and the card registered as a credit card even if I hit cancel and tried entering a pin.
Can anyone confirm if these MasterCards still work as debit to buy money orders?

I just realized that the post office no longer works for money orders… buy any ideas why it’s not working as debit in Wal-Mart?

Bought 5 cards in Washington DC store. $6.95 fee waived on all of them

Thanks Dan. I was able to purchase 32 of them at my local Staples in Baltimore. Transfer to southwest where each point is worth 1.6% it works out to 8% back.

@MM can you please clarify what you did?

Matt, I just saw your question. I purchased 32 $200 cards at my local Staples. I have a business vendor where I can easily spend the cards.

What I was saying about the points is that each $200 card gives me 1,000 points, I transfer them to Southwest airlines. 1,000 points on southwest are worth $16 in travel. $16 of value on the purchase of a $200 card is 8%.

Ive gotten 27 so far. Ravaging all the socal stores lol

Hey Dan, where do you cash out your MGCs in the Cleveland area? Visiting this weekend.
