Get A 30% Bonus When You Transfer AMEX Points Into (Newly Devalued) Flying Blue Miles; JFK To/From Tel Aviv Nonstop For 29.3K Points

You can transfer increments of 1,000 AMEX Membership Rewards Points into 1,300 Air France/KLM Flying Blue Miles through 8/13/21. The bonus comes from Flying Blue, so you’ll see it in your account instantly after you make a transfer.

Unfortunately Flying Blue just moved Israel from their Europe zone to Middle East, which has caused mileage rates to Israel to spike.

However with a 30% bonus, there are still good deals to be had.

For example, a Delta flight nonstop between JFK and Tel Aviv is 38K miles. That’s equal to about 29.2K AMEX points with the bonus.

Here is a look at currently available dates for flights on Delta:

Flying Blue also offers travel on Virgin Atlantic with lower fuel surcharges than if you book directly with Virgin.

Flying Blue is also offering free changes and cancellations for flights through at least 12/31 due to COVID-19. Cancellations or changes normally cost 50 Euros.

You can transfer AMEX, Capital One, Chase, or Citi points instantly to Flying Blue.

Flying Blue miles require earning activity every 24 months to keep them active, so transferring miles will also extend their validity.

As always, don’t transfer points unless you are ready to book a trip!

With the new peace agreements, I wonder if more of the airlines will push Israel into the “Middle East”

FlyingBlue is probably one of the very few programs that listed Israel in another continent, everyone else has listed Israel under the Middle East.
