Capital One shocked the mileage world when they announced last November that their points would be transferable into real airline miles.

Eligible cards include:

Those cards earn 2 miles per dollar spent everywhere.

The Capital One® Spark® Cash for Business is offering for a limited time only $500 cash back for spending $5,000 in 3 months and another $1,500 cash back for spending another $45,000 within 6 months, so you’ll have $3,000 cash back after spending $50,000 thanks to also earning 2 cents per dollar spent. You can transfer cash back into miles at a 1:1 ratio if you also have the Spark® Miles or Venture® card.

You can transfer points from Capital One into these 12 airline programs at a 2:1.5 ratio:

  • Aeromexico (SkyTeam)
  • Air Canada Aeroplan (Star Alliance)

  • Avianca LifeMiles (Star Alliance)
  • Cathay Pacific Asia Miles (OneWorld)

From now through 11/30 you can transfer Capital One points into Air France/KLM Flying Blue miles at a 2:1.8 ratio, a 20% bonus over the normal rate.

Capital One continues to be a crowd-pleaser with their monthly transfer bonuses.

Flying Blue considers Israel to be part of Europe, which makes for mileage bargains, though fuel surcharges apply. JFK to Tel Aviv can be booked for as low as 25K miles in coach, 42.5K points in premium economy, or 53K miles in business class each way.

They also have rotating discounts called Promo Awards for even bigger bargains! For example a business class flight between Chicago and Tel Aviv is now just 26.5K miles!

You can also get a 25% bonus for transferring AMEX points to Flying Blue.

How can you transfer to someone else FF account that is an AU on the account ?

Dov

do these points still expire regardless of activity?

leaf

Flying Blue points expire after 24 months of inactivity unless you fly on a Skyteam airline (and credit to Flying Blue) or use Air France credit card. Other activity does not extend life of miles.

andy

do you have a CapOne link that explains how to do this? I can’t find anything.
