Get $15 Off $300 Of Mastercard Gift Cards From Office Max Or Office Depot This Week

You can get $15 off $300 of Mastercard gift cards from Office Max or Office Depot stores through 9/15.

Use your Chase Ink Business Cash, Ink Plus or Ink Bold card and get 5 points per dollar spent. Click Here to get more details on this card and compare to other business travel cards!

Some stores may limit you to 1 transaction, but some stores won’t have any limits at all, which would allow you to scale the savings quite nicely.

If you buy 2 $200 Mastercard gift cards in store you’ll pay $398.90 including fees and you’ll earn 1,995 points by charging it to an Ink Plus or Ink Cash card.

If you buy a $100 and a $200 Mastercard gift cards in store you’ll pay $297.90 including fees and you’ll earn 1,490 points by charging it to an Ink Plus or Ink Cash card.

You can pay bills up to $250 each with Plastiq using a Mastercard and Masterpass without paying any fees until 9/30. If you signup via this Plastiq referral link and make a $500+ payment, you’ll get the fee waived on your next $500 payment.

Mastercard gift cards should have the PIN number in the package. They’re a bit trickier to use at WalMart, you need to hit cancel on the keypad after swiping it in order to change it to a debit payment before using it to load Bluebird, buying money orders, or using bill pay. You can also buy money orders at various grocery stores and gas stations.

Or you can donate the gift card to charity and get a receipt for the full face value.

Or you can give away a gift card as a wedding or Bar Mitzvah gift.

Or you can always use it for everyday spending while earning 5% or 5 points per dollar everhwhere.

It’s worth noting that some people have reported that their Mastercard gift cards have been hacked and they have had to file a report in order to get their funds back. That hasn’t happened when I’ve bought Mastercard gift cards, but you may not want to hang onto them for long just in case.

I bought a few of these from Staples on the last round of waived fees, and it’s been a disaster. Can’t activate them online, ping ponged back and forth between two companies to activate, told repeatedly they are active when they are not, etc.

Joey

I have done this multiple times with Office Dept and haven’t had any problems. They have the PIN numbers on a sheet of paper tucked in the back of it. Take them to my grocery store and get money orders.

Fred

Hi Joey,
Which grocery store would give money orders for them and how much is it?

Thanks!

I had 6 cards, and 2 of them worked like this with no problem. The other 4 can’t even get activated. At the end of each call I get told it is now active, then I call back a few days later and get told it’s not and they will activate. And on and on…

You need to reach out to US Bank and let them know the issue. You will need your receipt in order for this process to run smoothly. Call the number on the back of your gift card and let them know about the cards not being activated. Be subtle and calm. It will work itself out. If you don’t have your receipts then you possibly forfeit. Just an fyi.

Is there a limit or I can get a card with let’s say 500$ on it?

How do I setup masterpass with a prepaid mastercard gift card, when I try setting up the account it tells me either the address or card number is incorrect

Phill

You need to register your cards online.
