Use your Chase Ink Cash Business Card or Ink Plus card and get 5 points per dollar spent.

Some stores may limit you to 1 transaction, but some stores won’t have any limits at all, which would allow you to scale the savings quite nicely.

If you buy a $100 and a $200 Visa gift cards in store you’ll pay $302.90 including fees and you’ll earn 1,515 points by charging it to an Ink Plus or Ink Cash card.

You can use the gift cards to buy money orders at Walmart or at various grocery stores and gas stations. Just use the last 4 digits of the card as the PIN number to cash them out.

Or you can donate the gift card to charity and get a receipt for the full face value.

Or you can give away a gift card as a wedding or Bar Mitzvah gift.

Or you can always use it for everyday spending while earning 5% or 5 points per dollar everywhere.

Darn it with the in store only. They don’t have one in NY…they had a couple during the summer online.

Any Walmart in the NYC tri state areawhere they actually will let you buy a money order with these Visa gift cards?

Don’t need WM, just try local supermarket

Is giving a gift card as a wedding present “tacky”? What’s the etiquette?

Use your gift card to buy something off their registry and ship it to the chosson and kallah . I wouldn’t give a gift card because it’s basically cash and stuff gets lost at weddings. You’ll never know if they saw the contents of your gift and these days I’ve noticed only the mentschlich people actually send hand written thank you notes.

When they had this deal last year, the discount also worked for the Everywhere series of gift cards (Grocery, Fuel, Style, Explore, Movies, etc.) which have a lower fee. For example, if you are planning to use your gift card to buy groceries (or buy a MO at a grocery), you could buy the cheaper cards and pay $399.90 after the discount for two $200 cards.

Hi Dan, I saw that Office Depot was running one of their ‘$10 back at the register’ on $300 of mastercard gift cards. Any reason that wasn’t posted? Do you still post those deals? Thanks–I rely on your postings! 🙂
