Check To See If You’re Targeted For An AMEX Membership Rewards To JetBlue Transfer Bonus

Click on the link above to see if you’re targeted for a transfer bonus from AMEX to JetBlue through 3/25.

Currently there are 4 offers available:

  • The normal non-targeted offer of 250 AMEX points converting into 200 JetBlue points.
  • A 10% bonus offer of 250 AMEX points converting into 220 JetBlue points.
  • A 20% bonus offer of 250 AMEX points converting into 240 JetBlue points.
  • A 30% bonus offer of 250 AMEX points converting into 260 JetBlue points.

JetBlue points are worth between 1.4-2 cents each, with a typical redemption worth about 1.5 cents. I value AMEX points at about 1.5 cents each, so it’s not worth transferring AMEX points to JetBlue normally, but the 30% bonus would make it worthwhile.

That’s especially the case if you have a JetBlue Plus consumer or business credit card as each of those cards offer a 10% points rebate on JetBlue flights or a 20% rebate if you have both cards.

It’s not a mind-blowing redemption like I’ve received when flying from JFK to Europe in a $10,000 Singapore suite for 57K miles or when booking a last-minute Cleveland-NYC flight for 7.5K points instead of paying $500, but it’s still a good return for your points.

Unfortunately AMEX charges a fee to transfer points to US airlines. That adds 60 cents for every 1,000 points transferred with a maximum fee of $99 per transaction.

What offer do you have? Will you transfer AMEX points to JetBlue?

I got the 20% but even if it would theoretically 40% I wouldn’t do it. Currently I still have 50% back with biz plat (for those with centurion card it’s not either worth it) so I get at minimum 2 cents/per mr point…

How do you still have the 50%? Wasn’t it changed to 35%?

Dan will this work with the Blue Card Membership Rewards ?
I have 45k and they’re pretty useless. Perhaps you have an idea what they’re good for ?
