Update, 1/6/22: Tomorrow is the final day to select your choice benefit if you reached 50 or 75 Marriott nights in 2021.
Thanks to bonus elite nights in 2021 I wound up with 71 nights, so I selected 5 elite nights as my benefit for hitting 50 nights. As that put me over 75 nights, I was eligible for another choice benefit. I still have suite night awards that have been extended since 2020 and that I have a hard time using, so I selected a free night award valid up to 40K. The terms state that the 40K award expires 12/31/22, but (perhaps because I didn’t select it until now?) it actually doesn’t expire until 12/31/23!
Alas, there are no bonus elite nights for 2022 so far, but I do already have 30 elite nights thanks to having a Marriott Brilliant AMEX and Marriott Business AMEX.

Thanks to bonus elite nights and credit card elite nights, I’ve already requalified for Platinum status with 57 nights. That means I’m eligible for annual elite choice awards.

- Gift Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status to a family member, friend or colleague.
- Donate US$100 to WE Charity.
- Get five Suite Night Awards to redeem for upgrades to suites and premium rooms.
- 75 night awards include:
- One Free Night Award worth up to 40,000 points.

You can make a selection for status earned in 2021 through 1/7/22.
The only 50 night awards that make any sense are the 5 elite nights and the 5 suite award nights. If you need the suite nights for an upcoming stay, you can go ahead and select that. No matter when you select them, they’ll expire on 12/31/22.
Otherwise, you can wait and see if 5 bonus elite nights will help you get to the 75 night tier. If it does, you would earn Titanium status and be able to select 5 suite night awards or a 40K free night award for hitting 75 nights. If it doesn’t, you can just do nothing and you’ll get your 5 suite night awards automatically on 1/7/22, which will expire on 12/31/22.

I forgot to chooooose mine.
I only became Platinum with a mattress run on Dec. 31- and it took a few days into January until they posted behind the scenes and my account became Platinum, so I never chose my benefit. That’s okay because I wanted the suite night awards anyways and that’s what is chosen automatically. But it’s already January 9 and I don’t see the SNAs anywhere in my account? I don’t even see where to look for whatever benefit I have. Any ideas?
