I stayed using PointBreaks in Toronto And Tiberias, Israel and got great rooms at both hotels even though the hotel is only reimbursed $30/night on PointBreaks stays.
You can stay in any PointBreaks hotel for 5,000 Priority Club points. If you already have 5,000 Priority Club points in your account then you can buy 5,000 points for $30 as described below
If you don’t have points yet Priority Club sells 5,000 points for $67.50, or you can instantly transfer 5,000 AMEX MR points into Priority Club points.
After you have 5,000 points in your account you can book any cancellable 15,000 point hotel using cash and points for $60+5,000 points. When you cancel the hotel you will get 15,000 points in your account, in other words the cost per 5,000 points is $30 after you already have 5,000 points in your account.

What is the expiration policy on their points, once you get them?

In that case does it make sense to do the purchase for $67.50 ,and then do c&p, thus spending another $60 =$127.50, so I should have 15,000 points in the bank, to maybe redeem in Tiberias one day if and when I go?
Also I have alot of SPG points. Is there a way for me to get these PC points out of my SPG points,especially since the no longer have a property in Northern Israel?
I tried to see if i could book the crowne plaza eilat and couldn’t find any working and available dates…

If I need 60000 points will that be possible or will I get red flagged sooner or later. Would be a good deal for the intercontinental in Honk Kong!

can you give a little rundown here or on the forum of how YOU book hotels when you are going somewhere, like i think readers are confused (me included) on how to do things, we heat SPG is good, then you post this 🙂 we just need a clear pic of all this, like when i am flying somewhere, what are my moves for booking a hotel…maybe you can give like a general guide. like E.G. if you are traveling to israel, the best way to book tickets is through contitental as they have best availability, then go with SPG , then Amex points etc, and for hotel bookings in israel the best way is pointbreaks then SPG then AMex points . If you are flying in Europe, generally Delta is good, then AA thenetc and for hotels in Europe etc. If in the US Try spirit, then Delta, and for hotels try priceline or whatever. BASICALLY WHAT YOU WOULD DO WHEN YOU ARE TRAVELING 🙂 (all these were for illustraation points, nothing is true)
