Hertz will match competing car rental companies prices through January and they’ll throw in a $50 voucher towards a future rental!
There doesn’t appear to be a limit to the number of $50 vouchers that you can earn.

-Price match cannot be reserved in advance
-A hard copy of the competitor reservation must be provided at time of rental pickup.
-Reservations made through auction sites (Priceline or Hotwire) do not qualify.
-Price match applies to base rental rates of national competitors at participating U.S. Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands airport locations.
-Offer applies only to competitive weekend and weekly rates relating to the same vehicle classes, pick-up locations and rental dates.
-Offer limited to Economy through Luxury plus Minivan and SUV vehicle classes
-Competitors: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, National and Thrifty.
-Offer is subject to vehicle availability, which cannot be guaranteed.
-Offer available for rental pickup through 1/31/11.
-Offer is not available at locations in Florida, Hawaii and Metro NY Area for rentals in December 2010.
(Dan’s note: Apparently it will work in January though according to the terms.)
-Hertz age, driver and credit qualifications and weekend and weekly rate and return restrictions apply.
-$50 coupon valid for one year and may only be used for a subsequent rental.

if i have an AWD with Avis and get a discount from it will i still be eligible for the price match and $50 coupon?

David

Will they match a corporate rate as well?

m

odd how theyre “willing to price match” – not really a price match if one could have had that price with hertz had u reserved in advance with them – counter is always more expensive.
2. If you have a corp code – does that kill this deal?

Dan

@David:
It doesn’t exclude corporate rates in the terms!

@m:
I don’t follow. They will price match your reservation from another company at the Hertz counter.

@mancunian: Hi, can you help me out…whats the best way to rent a car for a month?

thanks

Dan - Man

You can either find cheap reservations at other rental companies and then bring it to Hertz for their promotion. Or you can book straight from hertz with a CDP code such as 1908469 and get great prices to begin with.
Thanks Dan for looking out, and enjoy your vacation!!

an excerpt from the T&C: “Tour, insurance replacement, pre-paid or affiliate rates do not qualify for this offer.”

Whats an “affiliate rate”? Also, “Offer applies only to competitive weekend and weekly rates.” So, does that mean I have to show that its a weekly rate (rather than a daily rate, or one of the many Avis rates that falls somewhere in between?
