AMEX announced today that they will open their largest ever Centurion Lounge in Atlanta in 2023.

The lounge will be a whopping 26,000 square feet and feature multiple outdoor areas, including a garden terrace and open tarmac views. That’s significantly larger than any other Centurion lounge, which will hopefully help with overcrowding issues. More unique amenities will be announced closer to opening.

It will be located in Concourse E and accessible from all terminals in the airport.

Of course AMEX Platinum cardholders can also access any of the 9 (!) Delta SkyClubs in Atlanta, but those are only available when flying on Delta.

AMEX Business Platinum cardholders and AMEX Consumer Platinum cardholders can access Centurion lounges for free with 2 guests. Delta Reserve cardholders can access Centurion lounges for free when flying on a Delta flight purchased on their Reserve card. Read more about the Business Platinum card here, the Consumer Platinum card here, and the differences between them here.

Note that effective 2/1/23, those cards won’t come with free guests unless you spend $75K/year or pay $50 for adults or $30 for kids.

Currently, there are Centurion Lounges in:

  • Charlotte (Intersection of Concourses D & E, mezzanine level)
  • Dallas/DFW (Terminal D, near American)
  • Denver (Concourse C)
  • Houston/IAH (Terminal D, near United)
  • Las Vegas (Concourse D, near United)
  • Los Angeles (TBIT)
  • Miami (Concourse D, near American)
  • NYC/JFK (Terminal 4)
  • NYC/LGA (Terminal B, near American and United)
  • Philadelphia (Terminal A West, near American)
  • Phoenix (Terminal 4)

Wow a total game changer! They’re really going after deltas home!

That’s good because I had to go on a wait list in Denver a couple of weeks ago due to overcrowding. It seems the more they build the higher demand gets.

Would love to see more of these in major European capitals. And one can only dream of a kosher one in TLV 🙂

I am at ATL 3-4 times a month flying Delta can’t wait to use it! Also going to force Delta to step up their clubs there too.

LAX TBIT lounge is closed… seems like won’t ever reopen.

From a business perspective, what’s in it for Amex to have the centurion lounges, I can imagine it attracts customers, but is it that worth it to have so many large ones if they dont even charge to enter?

Atlanta is still a hub?

Chaim

Chicago needs one.

Philly lounge is a joke tiny space was very overcrowded when I was there and they refused to give me a drink when they closed the bar as I was standing there.

I don’t understand why they are opening a lounge in ATL when you can access any DL lounge. Majority of ATL’s flights are DL. Why not continue to build in AA & UA hubs?
