Update: According to the Brazilian news article below, at 9AM today TAM announced that there were 186 people on board.

I don’t normally post these stories, but I still haven’t seen a list of passenger names on any of the English language news sites, so here is a list of the 176 passengers from a Brazilian news site.

I have personally flown out of Sao Paulo’s domestic airport, Congonhas, on multiple occasions.
It is right in the middle of the city and indeed has a very short runway (shorter than the runway at Chicago/Midway where the Southwest Airlines accident occurred a few years ago)

After my incident going from the much farther international airport, Guarulhos, to the city, I actually moved some of my domestic travel to leave from Congonhas instead of Guarulhos…

So far they don’t think there where any jewish people on the flight. I do know that there was one jewish guy that missed the flight B”H.
