AAdvantage Credit Card Reduced Mileage Awards For April-June 2012!

Reduced Mileage Awards Linky

You can book tickets for 7,500 less miles than American Airlines regularly charges if you have an AAdvantage Select, Executive, or Business credit card.

To book these awards just call AA’s AAdvantage desk at 800-882-8880 and reference the following award code:
7,500 miles off Coach: TB8X7A
7,500 miles off Business/First: UB21X2A

You may be able to avoid the $25 phone booking charge by first placing a reservation on hold at aa.com and then calling up AAdvantage to have them reduce the cost of the award by 7,500 miles and ask for the fee to waived since it was originally booked on their website.

Below is a sample list of some of Q2’s valid destinations, origination is allowed from any US48 City.

-Some people have had success with being able to originate from any “destination” city and fly to any US48 city for the discounted rate simply by holding the ticket on aa.com and then referencing the award code above to an AAdvantage agent to get the required mileage reduced by 7,500!
-Some people have also had success booking a one-way award for 8,750 miles (3,750 reduced miles)
-Neither are officially allowed, so your mileage may vary based on the rep you get!

It’s not on the list so I’d say…no.

I was not able to book One Way. Tried 3 times.

You cannot book one way and they will not waive the ticketing fee. And Halifax is a bogus destination since AA stops flying there on April 2nd or 3rd.

Use BA for Toronto.
BA = 9K, AA = 17.5K w promo and 25K without!

I had a reservation on hold, Los Angeles to Toronto and called to use the code, they would not allow it, neither city is on the list, they said…

Do they offer any reduced international tickets?

it’s the same code as Q1, i think there’s a mistake on their site.

Dan wasn’t sure how to send you a general post but I recently opened 2 united explorer cards with 25000 bonus miles for 1st purchase and 5000 additional for adding a user. I just received in the mail a paper offer for 50000 sign up miles and I sent one of those messages to credit card enquiries and requested an additional 25000 miles to match the mail offer and I wanted to report that this was successful for both accounts. I began this proccess Thursday night and was approved the additional miles about 12:00 pm today
