We’re still working on legacy mode toggling and other bugs, but you should be able to just visit http://www.dansdeals.com to view the new site.

There are a lot if things that needs improvement.
1 of them there is no choice to access DDF from the mobile site

The large fonts were really annoying. Looks like they were resized which is great because I can take in lots of info without constantly scrolling. Legacy view (mobile) looks like it still has those huge fonts…
Using a Samsung galaxy s3. In comments can’t open the full comment that are extra long. Hope this helps.
I turned that option off, let me know if it works for you now.
you better start posting more deals daily if u want us to adapt to this mess.. that includes SATURDAYS!. I dont know what $$$ u get out of this but there are many other websites that i found that do what u do… its a business, adapt and improve and go bigger or fall into obscurity. u have been warned! i dont like this display, prettier but less informative

There will also be a “skip to next post” from that legacy view, but we’re still working the bugs out on that.
It’s not the same I wish we would still have the option to go to the old view.
One issue I found when using the mobile site. Sometimes I read a bit of the post and then want to go straight to the comments. Since the font is much bigger than the old site there can be a lot of scrolling (for a big post) to reach the comments. Perhaps a way to change font size?

Dan, you put a nice delay in for the Credit Cards menu on the desktop version, but that delay also needs to be added to the Dans Deals Forum menu. Good job on incorporating everyones suggestions!

Anyway to have the comments numbered like the old site? It helped (well, me at least) when coming back to remember which comments I hadn’t read yet.

I’ll ask, but I think the issue is that now that there are nested comments like this one, it will make the numbering rather confusing and all over the place.
Thanks tons Dan / JJ and all the others involved for the massive reconstruction of the site, it looks amazing and beautiful, and a special thanks for all the nice little features you implemented for our convenience, we can see how much thought and planning went into designing it.
(although I’m used to the old site, but I’m hopeful i’ll get used to the new interface as well)

Looks great, but I dont like the nav bar on top that opens when move mouse over. Is dizzying. Id rather click on it to open.
Looks great, Dan! Mazel tov! I know a ton of work goes into creating a new site. Years ago, I decided that embracing change makes life easier. Why waste energy fighting something if you cannot prevent it from happening? Obviously, I mean for things such as technology. Learning new things and new ways is good for the mind. The group will help each other learn to maneuver through the site, and it will feel like home again soon.

The new site is great! Obviously it will take some getting used to the new look… I’m from the biggest haters of change but this change seems. The new mobile site is a huge upgrade.
I do think the comment box should also appear at the bottom of the comments like the old site. It’s frustrating to need to scroll all the way back up after reading all the comments.

Dan, I really think it would be a great idea to make the comments section darker. White is too plain and makes it hard to read the comments. Also, it would be a good idea to make the “Leave a reply/comment” section on the bottom (after the last comment), as opposed to making everyone scroll back up after reading through comments.
