Thank you!! We’ve been waiting for this šŸ™‚

Is there any way to get the digital subscription with this?

These offers are great. I’ve been getting the WSJ for months now…actually, for some reason I’ve been getting 2 each morning for months.

The bad thing is that my name or other info is nowhere on the paper, so I don’t even know how I’d cancel one of them or know when my “subscription” is due to end. So, I filled this one out today too and might end up with 3 WSJs outside my door in a month or two.

I guess I can give them away, but I wish I could cancel the 2 oldest and just keep the longest subscription active.

What I need is a BARRONS free year. Any links for that.

I’m still working off my 99$ WSJ one year sub (with free digital) from 2007.

i’m getting my wsj also for quite some times but they keep on sending me letters to pay for the subscription before they cancel my service….

@Doug:

You can call their offices and speak with someone in the Home Delivery Dept. They will help you obtain your subsription number, and then you can go online to make changes, stop/start a paper for vacation etc.

baal teshuva

Is it a clean magazine? (no innapropriate advertisements etc.)

max

how about the ny times?

Thanks Dan

Hi,
I am relatively new to your website and so far I have to say you are one amazing guy and help out a lot of people with gaining miles and points without actually having to fly or spend too much. I hope I will be able to take advantage of your site from here on in. I had a question not pertaining to the current subject matter but I did not know where else to post my inquiry. Is a good way of earning points on a card to reach a spending threshold, by purchasing items at a store that will give you cash back if returned? This way you can purchase lets say $1,000 worth of merchandise and then return it, receive cash back, deposit it into your bank account and then pay off the card that way? Is this possible? Any issues with this idea? Thanks for your help

Mark

They show that 3,200 reward points will be deducted and cannot be refunded.They don’t ask for my credit card but they can find it with the information provided. Will the points be deducted?

es

@Doug:
I called WSJ on the 800 number and they took care of the extra copy right away–no need for account # (which I never got even when I used to pay)

Mark

@Moshe: I don’t know of any company that will refund cash on a credit purchase. if they refund the credit so will the points get backed out.

gary

Do you get a confirmation of the subscription?

Gil

@Moshe: What store would be dumb enough to do that? They are going to be charged a fee of several percentage points and refund all the money to you in cash. They are going to loose $25-$30 per $1000. Also they are going to end up with a 1099 for the income that they didnt receive. I would be very nervous about using a store that suggests doing that on their own. It almost would sound like money laundering.

is there supposed to be a survey????

Gil

@Dan: i am a little concerned about this website. Are you sure it is legit? Have you used it? Why do they need my birthdate?

Moshe

@mark & @gil
There are numerous stores that do this. It was not their idea rather mine alone (although I see from the Internet I’m not the only one with the idea). Why would I lose the points earned if it shows up as a purchase still? The credit card company doesn’t know I returned it for cash.

Jack

Hi,

Where can I check CC Chase applications status?

Thank You

Gil

@Moshe:I would love to know their names. I would be buying there and returning every week.

Judy

I filled it out twice but I never received any confirmation email. I do know of 2 people who are paying $10 a month for WSJ, and I can’t find that deal anymore. I’m not willing to pay $25 a month which is the lowest price I can find today. I don’t want to wait 8 weeks to find out if I will have the free subscription from Rewards. Any ideas?

Judah

“@baal teshuva:

@hill: including the weather forecastĆ¢ā‚¬Ā¦.”

You guys are scum! Give the guy a break he is asking a legitimate question which you are mocking and falsely implying that it’s a total non-issue.

The following is an honest response to an ehrliche question:
@Baal Teshuva: WSJ is AFAIK pretty much the cleanest of the major secular newspapers. It is very much business oriented and high class so it doesn’t usually stoop to much shmutz in terms of article content and pictures. Until a few years ago it was almost entirely in black and white and even used caricatures for the photos of journalists instead of photos. This has shifted somewhat and there are full page color ads that are common in the paper. There is also an “arts and entertainment” type section that comes once per week if I remember correctly. Both of these issues are not as bad as it sounds when thinking of typical trashy newspapers but a sensitive yiddish neshama might find it be a nisayon.

So I guess it depends on your standards.

Dan

There is no confirmation, this won’t cost you anything, but it will take months for it to start.

Cleveland Guy

I’m on round two with this promo, yes it takes a long time for it to begin, but it will show up. Upon receiving a renewal notice I called WSJ to inquire when my subscription will end, I waited till a month before the renewal date and went for another 26 weeks using my wife’s name with a short gap of no paper in between. My ‘children’ will be receiving the WSJ one at a time for 26 week periods…. I used different names just to be sure, but I wonder it that’s even necessary. Dan can make that call as he’s been receiving it for years now. Dan- any tips for a free subscription to the Plain Dealer? While its still around that is…

Seth

@Doug:

Call them and they will look up your address – you can suspend one subscription until the other one ends!

NECjak15

@Dan:

It appears to be defective. It doesn’t lead to the page-prompt asking which magazine offers you want. Even after you adjust the settings, and fill out info on the openigng pag, it just says “if trouble loading in three seconds click here”

Anyone else get the same thing?

WSJ offer is dead let us know when its back on
