Still says $12?

Dan,
Please do not give publicity to CITIBike before they apologize for allowing anti-semitic maps on their site. Other firms have apologized, CITIBike only pushed blame.
I do understand how it happened but, ultimately, if their site showed the map, they are responsible.

Good

Don’t be so sensitive, it was mistake get over it.
Do you really feel hurt that you’re waiting for an apology?

CB

In this Politically correct world, these things matter. The fact is that every other firm involved took responsibility other than Motivate. Considering the role that NYC plays in Motivate, an apology would be appropriate. Imagine for a moment, if the map had read African or, the N. word. Imagine the reaction we would have seen and heard.

By the way, I do know how it happened and run websites that use embedded data. The lesson might be that a major firm doing business under license form a City has to control their website even if they have to pay for maps rather than get them free.

My parents have described their firsthand experiences leading up to leading up to Kristallnacht. If you are not familiar with it, read up on it.

I hear you.
We see how Starbucks bent over backwards into a pretzel going on their endless apology tour and their mandatory sensitivity training for their white employees. I agree. The least they can do is issue an apology.
Bottom line: Black lives matter, not Jews. Welcome to galus.

Moe

If this inadvertent error is the worst anti-Semitism, we can live with it without an apology.

CB

Yes but be aware there were more than 60 name changes made at the same time, all Jew related. To call this simply a mistake is ignoring the issue. It is still mind-boggling how a human approved this change. Those that are less bothered should study history.

Grouponer

Think there will be any bikes available?
