Groupon Extending Vouchers By Up To 12 Months

“At Groupon, our hearts go out to everyone affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and we’re committed to doing everything we can to ensure the safety of our customers, employees and partner businesses.

Like you, businesses in your community and around the world are feeling the impacts of Coronavirus. We want to help make sure that once this is behind us, these businesses are able to come back as strong as ever. Here’s what you can do to help:

  • If you’ve already purchased a Groupon, our partners are telling us that the best thing you can do to help is to hold onto your voucher and show up when you can. To support this, we are extending vouchers whenever possible for up to 12 months. We’ll notify you as we extend these dates.
  • If you want to show your support now, pick your favorite business and buy a Groupon to use for later — so businesses will know you’ll be there when you can.”

Do you have vouchers that have been extended?

Well this seems reasonable. I’m holding a couple of restaurant Groupons, and this is obviously a good solution. Hopefully, everything goes automatically and there’s nothing that needs to be done.

Better hope they don’t go bankrupt first…

I have several groupons expiring soon but I see no change in their expiration date. Is this going to be done automatically or by individual request and when will it be done. Have tezched6out to groupon but there is no customer support

If I buy a voucher now that expires in 90 days, will it be extended for 12 months?

i got a groupon voucher for a hotel and hotel cancelled my reservation due to the coronavirus outbreak. this makes sense to me. what does not make sense is that groupon is refusing to refund my money. it is saying that i have to use the hotel voucher on something else on groupon. well, i don’t have anything to buy that is over $300. shame on groupon for keeping my money.
