The only thing we know about SBS (Small Business Saturday) is that it will return in 2015 and it will be on 11/28, 2 days after the 11th(!) anniversary of this blog. [Insert joke about getting around to redesigning this site here]

When will the full details for this year’s promo be announced?

I have not a clue, but from past experience it should be soon:

Ari

Dan, are you sure about the free spend for secondary card holders in 2015? I hope so! because that would be the biggest blow!

Dan

@Ari:
AMEX offers have always worked for primary and secondary users. But nothing is sure in life aside from death and taxes.

Rach

Will we be able to register more than one authorized user, in addition to the primary cardholder,at SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY?

Dan

@Rach:
There have been no limits on additional users in the past.

david

I tried adding a additional user online in my amex account and it is asking for ss# is that always required for additional user?

Dan

@david:
You can do it over the phone without one.

Izzy

Up to how many additional users do you suggest I order under my own name w/o red flag?

Mike B

@Dan

I will be making a bunch of AUs in the next few weeks, but I also want to be able to use the cards for other amex offers. My understanding is that I would need to actually activate the aus so I can create logons for them (or add them to a logon). Is that correct?

Based on that, I plan to create multiple aus for my family using ss# by requesting online. Do you think there is more risk doing it this way vs calling in without socials? Either way I will be creating multiple cards under each name.

Lastly, regarding amex offers, I believe the way it works is that if you add them all to the same login, of your login gets the offer, you can get it on all the cards in a login using your tab trick. Vs making seperate logins for each which would maybe make it more likely that I may get targeted on at least some of them. An I understanding that all correctly? Which method would you recommend and why?

Shana Tova and thanks for everything!

Mike B

@Dan
I was reading one of your previous sbs posts and a comment asked you if adding multiple AUs under your name affects the number of accounts in your credit report or anything else on a credit report. Your response was that you’ll let us know. Can you share your experience with this?

Love AMEX Hate Ticketmaster

@Izzy:
You can order up to 100 under your own name.
They may ask you why? You can honestly answer, for SBS purposes and they don’t care.

Noturbizniss

@Mike B:they do show up on your report but you can always call to have them removed.

Above works for Business cards only. Not Personal. Have a business in your wife’s name? That’s 200 cards.

Izzy

@Love AMEX Hate Ticketmaster: How about personal card?

asd

how many ppl did they let register in past years? do you think they will limit the amount of ppl that can sign up? i dont recall them closing registration like they did with samsclub…..

Sam

If you dont have to post pls dont post

Shmuli

Would I still get points per dollar I spend on my amex card,or since its being credited back to me, I won’t get any points for it?

@sam

Wow!!! Is everything OK today, looks like your in a bad mood, from this article and from the flight article2 hours ago, hakol bseder?

Jack

@Mike B:
Adding AUs without social is always better.

Mike B

@Jack

Why is that true though? If I call over and over using the same name, won’t that raise red flags right away?

@Jack

How do multiple AUs affect the primary cardholders and secondary users credit (obviously in a case where AU’s are for promos, SBS etc and there are no payment issues for the account)?

Please clarify. Thanks.

douglas

hey anyone does business cards work?????

Mike Butl

@ @Jack
I believe that the utilization and payment history will help the credit of an authorized user. I do not beleive the AU’s credit can affect the primary, as long as the account is kept in good standing with low utilization.

@douglas
Business cards do work, as Dan says in the post, but I think corporate cards don’t.

Marty

Dan, is there a personal or business AMEX British Airways card that works with the offer? And, can you please confirm whether you can add 50 AU’s to personal cards & 100 for business?

Macy

Hey Dan, Do you know if the Macy’s American Express card is/was eligible for SBS in the past? I ordered AU cards for this account but notice they all have the same Amex account number… tx

Rochel

The amex website is saying there will be no statement credit this year ? Is that true? Is it over ??

Mordechai Braun

@Rochel: Please provide a link to your post.
