AMEX is having a “Member Week” from October 10th through the 14th.

As with Amazon’s 2nd Prime Day of the year, that timing is unfortunate for observant Jews due to the holiday of Sukkot next Monday and Tuesday.

Starting on Monday, “eligible Card Members can enroll to receive access to up to $150 in statement credits on select purchases from HBO Max, Under Armour, Dell Technologies and The Container Store.”

I reached out to AMEX for clarification on these offers and was told that the offers will be available for enrollment through 10/14 and for redemption through 10/20 as follows:

  • Eligible Card Members who enroll and spend $99 with HBO Max will receive a $50 statement credit.
  • Eligible Card Members who enroll and spend $75 with Under Armour will receive a $25 statement credit.
  • Eligible Card Members who enroll and spend $100 with Dell will receive a $50 statement credit.
  • Eligible Card Members who enroll and spend $75 with The Container Store will receive a $25 statement credit.

Of course the question is will these be available for all AMEX cards or will they be more targeted? And will they be limited and run out quickly or will they be widely available throughout the week?

The Dell offer is especially intriguing as there’s also a $120 off $599 Dell AMEX Offer through 10/28, a $40 off $200 Dell AMEX Offer through 10/31, a 10% Dell AMEX Offer through 3/26/23, and of course AMEX Business Platinum cardholders get a $200 credit every January-June and a $200 credit every July-December. Stacking offers could make for a very lucrative redemption.

On Tuesday, “eligible Card Members will have the opportunity to earn rewards at over 200 Resy restaurants from coast to coast when they enroll their Amex card, getting a $25 statement credit after spending $75+ in a single purchase (up to 2x) by December 8, 2022. American Express Card Members will have exclusive access to book reservations at 20 popular Resy restaurants for one night only. Starting October 10th, the full list of the participating Resy restaurants and details can be found at resy.com/amexmemberweek.”

On Wednesday, tickets for online and in-person concerts by Jack Harlow, Ed Sheeran, and Coachella will be available.

On Thursday, “eligible Card Members booking through AmexTravel.com can take part in offers from select airlines including Alaska Airlines, Finnair, Qatar Airways and more.”

AMEX said to stay tuned for the travel offer details.

On Friday, “eligible Card Members can enroll to get a $40 statement credit after making a single U.S. purchase of $175 or more at The Spa at Equinox or The Shop at Equinox. Eligible Card Members can also enroll to receive a $50 statement credit after making a single U.S. subscription purchase of $69.99 or more at Calm.com by October 31, 2022.”

Will you take advantage of these offers?

Seconded…

Meh

Exactly!

sukkos for you

Ashkenazi Jews say Sukkos, not Sukkot, including Chabadskers.

Brian

For all you know, Dan might be Sephardi…..

Ben
