Is this legal in NY

The few negative reviews are bad.

Pachdan

Is this legal in NY I know in some places its illegal

Dan

@Pachdan:
Legal in the US outside of Virginia and Washington D.C.

Laws for commercial vehicles over 10,000 pounds vary though.

@Anonymous:
In other news, water is wet.

This is the lowest price this has ever been.

Felt it’s important to note that they fail to detect laser, a new effective speed trapping method being implemented at a wider range of police vehicles requiring a separate laser detector/jammer to prevent a possible ticket. Besides, these things REALLY bother cops, they will try to confiscate it regardless of the law FROM OFFCIER.FORUMS: If I find one on your vehicle I will seize it for evidence and you will be charged with the Criminal Code charge of “obstructing a Peace Officer”. There are ways of detecting their use and I’m not telling here on a public board. Getting a criminal record trying to avoid a motor vehicle act charge is just a stupid choice

Great gadget. Pays for itself if you’re a speeder. Contrary to the above claim, these do detect laser.

@Joe Joe these do detect laser but the way laser works is that it’s a direct beam at your car therefore once it detects it I’m afraid it’s too late whereas radar is a much broader range

I’ve been stopped a few times in NY and NJ with a detector, never had a problem. Even the cheap ones are worth it, this one is one of the best.
