Register To Earn 6 Marriott Points Per Dollar In Select Categories On Marriott AMEX Cards
Register your Marriott Bonvoy or Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant card via the link above by 9/15 to earn 6 total Marriott points per dollar spent on:
- Car rentals purchased directly from select car rental companies (Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, E-Z, Fox, Hertz, National, Payless, Sixt and Thrifty)
- Flights booked directly with airlines
- Gas at U.S. gas stations
- Transit, including purchases on taxis/rideshare, parking, tolls, and trains
You can earn up 10,000 points in each of those 4 categories for spending through 9/30.
I value Marriott points at about 0.65 cents each, so this is like getting a rebate of 3.9% on spending. A card like Sapphire Reserve earns 3 points per dollar on all of those categories except gas, plus it comes with primary car rental insurance. If you value those points at 1.6 cents each, that’s 4.8% back. A card like Citi PremierÂŽ Card earns 3 points per dollar on airfare, gas, and more. If you value those points at 1.4 cents each, that’s 4.2% back. Then again, if you only value those points at 1 cent each, that will be just 3% back. In other words, just make sure that you don’t have a better card before taking advantage of this offer.
However it’s worth checking your AMEX Offers to see if you have any stackable offers. For example my Marriott Brilliant card has an offer for 7,500 bonus points for spending $7,500 in 2021.
