Table of Contents
Limited Time Signup Bonus:
For a limited time only, the Chase Ink Cash Card is now offering a whopping signup bonus of 90,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points for opening the card and spending $6,000 in 3 months. Those points are worth a minimum of $900 cash back, but they can be worth much more as shown below.
Also available is an identical bonus on the Chase Ink Unlimited Card. You can read more about that card here.
The signup bonus is marketed as $900, but it will actually come in the form of 90,000 transferrable points which are worth $1,350-$1,800 when points are transferred into miles with the help of someone in your household having a Chase Sapphire Preferred, Chase Sapphire Reserve, or Chase Ink Business Preferred.
If you spend $6,000 on gift cards at office supply stores you would have 120,000 points, potentially worth $1,800-$2,400!
The end date for this offer is unknown.
If you signed up for this card in the past 6 months with a lower bonus, you can send a secure message from the Chase site or app to request a match to 90K points.
Annual fee:
None
Comparison to previous welcome bonus:
This card used to offer a 30K signup bonus, but most recently offered a previous high 75K points for spending $7,500 in 3 months.
The current 90K signup bonus is highest offer ever for this card!

- You can get approved and get the signup bonus for this card even if you have other Chase Ink cards.
How to apply, Business card and 5/24 info:
This is a business card, but you may already have a business that needs a card to keep track of expenses. For example if your name is Joe Smith and you sell items online, or if you have any other side business and want a credit card to better keep track of business expenditures you can open a business credit card for “Joe Smith” as the business. You don’t need to file any messy government paperwork to be allowed to do that. Just be sure to select “Sole Proprietorship” as the business type and just use your social security number in the Tax Identification Number field.
If you have business paperwork you can apply under your business name. Otherwise, it’s critical to just write your own name as the business name if you are just applying for your own small business as a Sole Proprietorship that doesn’t have any business paperwork. You can then send in bills in your own name for verification.
If you’re like me and you run more than one business, you can signup for multiple of the same card for each business to manage each businesses expenses separately.
All Chase cards earning Ultimate Rewards are subject to 5/24 restrictions, meaning that you are not likely to be approved if you have been approved for 5 or more consumer credit cards in the past 24 months. Note that the Chase system automatically counts cards like authorized user cards and store cards as cards that count towards 5/24, but if you explain to Chase that those cards are merely authorized user cards or store cards they can manually approve you for a new card. You can check your credit report for free at the federally authorized annualcreditreport.com to check how many accounts are shows as being open in the past 24 months.
However, it’s important to note that business cards from most banks, including Chase business cards, do not get added to your 5/24 count of recently opened cards. That’s because business cards from most banks don’t show up on your personal credit report and the 5/24 count is based off of your personal credit report. That means that applying for these cards won’t “hurt” your 5/24 count.
Another benefit of the card not reporting on your personal credit report is that when you spend money on personal cards your credit score will be hurt even if you pay your bill on time. A whopping 30% of your credit score is based on credit utilization. You can pay off your card bill before your statement is generated to avoid that, but that takes effort and laying out money well before you have to. Additionally it’s good to have the statement close with a couple dollars to show the card is active and being paid every month. On an business cards from banks like AMEX and Chase it’s just not reported, so you can wait until the money is due without it having a negative effect on your score. That also means if you close the card, it won’t have an effect on your credit score.
While carrying balances on consumer cards can have a very harmful effect on your credit score, because the Ink cards are business cards, those balances won’t hurt your credit score! That makes the 0% APR on purchases for 12 months on a business card a very strong offer.
Card earnings:
The Ink Cash card is marketed as earning 5% and 2% cashback in bonus categories, but it actually earns 5 or 2 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per dollar spent. As each point can be worth 1.5-2 cents each, that means you’ll actually be earning an effective 7.5-10% back on the 5 point categories and 3-4% back on the 2 point categories.
Earning 5 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per dollar on all of your Amazon purchases is pretty sweet! I accomplish that by using my Ink Cash card to buy Amazon gift cards from Office Max, Office Depot, or Staples and then saving the gift cards to my Amazon account where they stack together and never expire. Personally I view that as getting 7.5%-10% back on my Amazon spending, which makes Ink Cash much stronger than using Amazon’s own credit card for Amazon purchases.
Here is where you can earn 2 points per dollar on up to $25K in annual spending on the Ink Cash card:
- Gas stations
- Restaurants and restaurant delivery.
Here is where you can earn 5 points per dollar on up to $25K in annual spending on the Ink Cash card:
- Charges made directly with all cell phone service providers (AT&T, Boost, Cricket, Google Fi, Republic, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, Virgin Mobile, etc)
- Charges made directly with all telecom, TV, and Internet providers
- Charges made with streaming services, like Hulu, Netflix, SiriusXM, Sling, Spotify, Tivo, and Vudu
- Charges from Godaddy.com
- Charges from Microsoft OneDrive
- Charges made in-store or online at office supply stores, like Office Depot, Office Max, and Staples.
Spend Threshold:
You’ll need to spend $6,000 on this card within 3 months.
You can pay your federal taxes for a 1.87% fee. If you overpay your taxes you can request a refund or apply it to your next year’s taxes.
My local natural gas company allows me to prepay up to $1,000 on a credit card for a $1.65 flat fee. That’s a great way to earn miles and help meet a spend threshold. My electricity supplier allows me to pay with a credit card for free as long as I am enrolled in autopay.
See this post for more ideas on meeting a credit card spend threshold.
0% APR:
0% intro APR on purchases within 12 months of account opening. After that, 16.24%–22.24% variable APR.
Other card benefits:
- Primary rental car CDW insurance in every country, when the rental is for business purposes.
- Primary rental car CDW insurance in every country outside of the US, when the rental is for personal purposes. Rentals without a business purpose in the US have secondary coverage.
- Extended warranty adds a year of coverage, up to $10,000 per claim.
- Purchase protection for items damaged or stolen within 120 days, up to $10,000 per claim.
- Travel Accident Insurance covers $500,000 per person.
- Lost Luggage Insurance covers $3,000 per person per trip (limit of $500 per person for jewelry, watches, electronics)
- Baggage Delay Reimbursement covers $100 per day per person (max of 3 days) for essential items needed (Clothing, toiletries, charger, etc) for delays more than 6 hours.
Earning Bonuses From Gift Cards
With Chase Ink Cash you can earn 5 points per dollar when you buy gift cards for hundreds of other stores in office supply stores and on Staples.com.
Office supply stores also sell Visa and Mastercard gift cards that can be used anywhere. Typically a $200 gift card costs $206.95, which would earn 1,035 points. Those points are worth much more than the $6.95 fee. However those stores also often run promotions that I write about when you can buy the Visa or Mastercard gift cards without paying fees.
You can use these gift cards for purchases anywhere, while earning 5 points per dollar!

These are the gift cards that I’ve found at my local stores. If you find more please post a comment!
Charitable donation:
Your local school or charity will be more than happy to accept donations of Amazon gift cards for supplies or any other useful gift cards for chinese auctions, raffles, fundraisers, etc. They will give you a tax deductible receipt for the full face value-the price you paid for the gift cards. And at the same time you’ll earn 5 points per dollar spent on Ink Cash. So while doing good you can still get a nice chunk of points and you’ll save on your taxes!
Increased points value:
You can cash out your points for 1% cash back. I hope that you won’t do that.
If you or someone in your household has an Chase Ink Preferred Card or Sapphire Preferred you can redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards points earned from any card at a value of 1.25 cents towards paid travel.
If you or someone in your household has a Sapphire Reserve you can get a value of 1.5 cents per point towards paid travel.
The Ink Cash card can’t transfer points directly into miles, but Chase allows you to transfer points to cards where they can be transferred into miles or redeemed for a greater value. My aim is to receive a value of 2 cents per point via transfers to miles and that makes the 2 point categories worth 4% back and the 5 point categories worth 10% back.
Pay yourself back
You can currently use Ultimate Rewards points to offset the following charges at a value of 1.1 cents per point:
- Shipping
- Internet
- Cable and phone services
- Charitable donations to select charities
Pay Yourself Back is now a permanent feature of the Ultimate Rewards program, though categories rotate
A great feature of the program is that you keep the original points that the purchase earned, even though you paid yourself back for the purchase. That means your points will be worth even more!
Visa Savings Edge:
All Chase Ink cards are eligible for additional cash back via Visa Savings Edge.
That means you can earn points plus cash back at ParkWhiz, Budget, Chevron, AutoZone, Boost Mobile, MGM hotels, Wyndham hotels, and more.
Airline and hotel points transferability:
If you or someone in your household has a Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve, or Ink Preferred you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points into valuable airline and hotel mileage currencies.
Product changes options:
You can call Chase to convert these cards or any of the following cards into another card from this list:
- Chase Ink Cash ($0 annual fee)
- Chase Ink Unlimited ($0 annual fee)
- Chase Ink Preferred ($95 annual fee)
Note that some reps will only allow card conversions after you have had the card for 12 months.
Killer Combos:
Stacking multiple Ultimate Rewards cards together can supercharge your earnings by getting you more points per dollar while increasing the value of all your points.
Read more about this strategy in depth in this post.
This list will be customized for the Ink Preferred.
A Chase Bifecta would consist of a household that has the Sapphire Preferred or Sapphire Reserve and the Freedom Unlimited. The total effective annual fees would be either $95 with Sapphire Preferred or $250 with Sapphire Reserve after accounting for that card’s $300 annual travel credit. With the Sapphire Preferred+Freedom Unlimited you would earn 1.5 points per dollar everywhere, 2.1 points per dollar on all travel, 3 points per dollar on drugstores, 3.1 points per dollar on dining, streaming, and online grocery shopping, and 5.1 points per dollar on travel booked via Chase. You’ll be able to transfer all of your points into airline miles or hotel points or use the pay yourself back feature. Read more about Freedom Unlimited here.
A Chase Trifecta adds a no annual fee card like Ink Cash or Chase Freedom Flex into the mix, so your total effective annual fee will still be $95 or $250. Both of those cards give options to earn a whopping 5 points per dollar in various categories on top of the 2-3 points per dollar that the Sapphire cards offer and the 1.5-5 points per dollar everywhere else with a Freedom Unlimited card. Read more about Freedom Flex here and read more about Ink Cash here.
Having all 3 Chase Ink cards means you can take advantage of bonus points on all purchases that you make while not having any effect on your personal credit.
A Chase Quadfecta would add both the Ink Cash and Chase Freedom Flex on top of a Sapphire card and an Unlimited card, so your total effective annual fee will still be just $95 or $250. The Quadfecta is the sweet spot and allows you to really supercharge your spending everywhere.
A Chase Quinfecta could add the Ink Preferred to that mix, adding $95 to the annual fee total. This make sense if you spend money on shipping, social media advertising, or search engine advertising, or if you want free cell phone insurance.
Alternatively, you can create a Chase Quinfecta by adding the Chase United Explorer card, United Club Infinite Card, Chase United Gateway Card, Chase United Quest Card, or Chase United Business Card into the mix. Those cards don’t earn Ultimate Rewards points, but it makes your Ultimate Rewards points more valuable. Having a United card enables you to have access to significantly expanded United saver and standard award space in addition to benefits like 2 free club passes, a free checked bag, a free carry-on bag, and priority boarding, even when you’re on a basic economy fare. See more about those benefits here.
Again, all of these cards don’t need to be in one person’s name. 2 people from the same household can split up the requisite cards that make up the Quinfecta, as they can transfer the Ultimate Rewards points back and forth between themselves freely and they can add each other as an authorized user on their cards!
Airline transfer partners:
You can transfer points at a 1:1 ratio to:
- United (Star Alliance)
- Air Canada Aeroplan (Star Alliance)
- Singapore (Star Alliance)
- Air France/KLM Flying Blue (Skyteam, 25% bonus through 5/15)
- British Airways (OneWorld)
- Aer Lingus (OneWorld)
- Iberia (OneWorld)
- Qatar (OneWorld, transfer via BA)
- Emirates
- JetBlue
- Southwest
- Virgin Atlantic
Hotel transfer partners:
You can transfer points at a 1:1 ratio to:
- Hyatt
- IHG
- Marriott
The great thing about Chase Ultimate Rewards is how versatile and valuable they are:
The Ink Preferred and Sapphire Preferred cards allow you and anyone in your household to transfer Chase points into miles. They also allow you to use points at a value of 1.25 cents each towards travel.
The Sapphire Reserve also allows you and anyone in your household to transfer Chase points into miles. Plus it allows you to use points at a value of 1.5 cents each towards travel.
The fixed value is excellent and doesn’t require hunting down award space, but those points can be much more valuable by transferring them into airline miles or hotel points.
- If I want to stay in a 5 star Park Hyatt in the Maldives, Melbourne, NYC, Paris, Sydney, or Tokyo that would cost over $1,000/night, I can instantly transfer 25-40K points to Hyatt to do that, a value of up to 6 cents per point.
- If I need a one-way flight from Cleveland (or Chicago, Detroit, Miami, Montreal, Orlando, Pittsburgh, Toronto, etc) to NYC that can cost $500 each way, I can instantly transfer 7.5K points to British Airways to book a short-haul on American with no last minute booking fees. Or if American doesn’t have availability I can instantly transfer 10K points to United for their short-haul award. That’s a value of up to 7 cents per point.
- Air Canada offers one-way short haul awards for just 6K miles. You can also get stopover awards for 5K miles, build round-the-world awards, and get free lap child awards in the US/Canada and bring lap children to anywhere else in the world for just C$25!
- If I want to stay in a non-chain hotel that costs $300/night and don’t want to pay cash, I can redeem 20K points for the room thanks to my Sapphire Reserve card’s minimum redemption value of 1.5 cents per point or 24K points with the Sapphire Preferred card’s minimum redemption value of 1.25 cents per point
- Flying Blue has award flights to Israel for 25K miles for adults or 18,750 miles for kids.
- If I want to fly in a $25,000 ANA First Class Suite round-trip from the US to Tokyo, I can instantly transfer 110K or 120K points to Virgin Atlantic. That’s a value of up to 23 cents per point. You can now redeem one-way awards for half the price as well!
- If I want to book a $2,281 business class ticket on Air Canada to Tel Aviv I can redeem 152K points for the flight thanks to my Sapphire Reserve card’s minimum redemption value of 1.5 cents per point or 182K points with the Sapphire Preferred card’s minimum redemption value of 1.25 cents per point, plus I’ll earn Qantas miles for more future travel as it’s considered a paid flight instead of an award flight.
- And thousands of other possibilities from Singapore couples suites to booking Southwest awards with 2 free bags and free cancellations, to stealing 2nd base in middle of an MLB game.
Dan’s Quick Thoughts
This is a shockingly generous offer for a card with no annual fee. Chase has lowered the spending required to earn the bonus and increased the bonus. That’s huge!
Best of all, this is an epic card to quickly rack up Chase points. It’s a business card, but most people out there can qualify for a business card.
Chase also has an identical bonus on the Chase Ink Unlimited Card. That card offers 1.5 point per dollar earnings everywhere, which is excellent for Chase points. You can decide if you would rather have 2x-5x bonus category earnings or if you would rather have higher 1.5x earnings everywhere. Or best of all, you can try applying for both cards and get the bonuses for each card if you’re approved!

Do you have to have a business to open this card?
Any hobby will do,

Does that mean that all expenses to the card have to be related to that “hobby”? What if my hobby is living and my costs are just regular everyday expenses? Groceries, clothing, etc
Nobody is going to care what you put on the card.
Don’t you check off the card holder agreement that says you will only being using the card for business purposes?
Nobody is going to care or ask what you put on the card.
Does that concept (“nobody cares what you put on the card”) also apply to rental cars? They say the primary insurance coverage only applies when the car is used for business purposes. What constitutes a business purpose? How do I document that? Or do I really not have to worry about it? Thanks much!
How much money does the hobby need to be making annually to get approved?
what information do I put down for Employer Reference/ID number? I don’t have a business, just a hobby…
Your social security number
I recently signed up for Chase Ink Preffered 1000k. I’ve spent about 8k toward the $15k required.
Would they honour downgrade to this card and give the 90,000 points based on the above offer?
No, they generally won’t downgrade within 12 months of signup.
2 questions.
1. Is the ink unlimited offering the same bonus?
If I applied last time with my SSN as my tax ID, (less then 24 months ago( is it possible to get approved again with my SSN automatically without needing to call in explaining about different business etc. ?
1. Yes!
https://www.dansdeals.com/credit-cards/awesome-earn-record-high-90000-points-excellent-no-annual-fee-chase-ink-unlimited-card/
2. It is possible, though you may have to explain why you want another one. You may want that for tracking expenses for different clients, etc. If you are approved you’ll get the bonus.
Once I need to explain, it means having to call in, my question is if the system works automatically reject it or it might go thru without calling in.
I only have 1 x EIN, am I Able to get more then one card for this business?
It is possible, though you may have to explain why you want another one. You may want that for tracking expenses for different clients, etc. If you are approved you’ll get the bonus.
How long should I wait after cancelling my current CIC card before applying for this new offer?
There’s no need to cancel an existing card for an Ink bonus, but you can and then wait a couple days if you want to potentially have an easier approval path.
what’s the real bottom line difference between this one and the other post you just posted, the Chase Ink Unlimited Card which also has the same sign up bonus and can I get both?

thx..any idea as to approx how long this deal will be open and available to sign up for?
No clue. Grab it if you want it!
I just spoke to Chase and they told me that since i already got the 75,000 bonus I can no longer get the additional points…the only way they would give me the new offer is if I didn’t reach the spend threshold yet and therefore didn’t get the 75k yet….
Fake news.

If my husband has a chase sapphire, Can I transfer the points from this card (which would be in my name only) even though we have separate Log-ins for our chase cards? How would I do this?
Yes, you can call Chase to transfer the points.
Thanks. Is there any benefit to transferring them to the chase sapphire if I’m going to transfer them to United in the end? Or is it the same 1:1 transfer. (It would be for future travel- to take place after I close the sapphire card.)
Only Sapphire Preferred, Ink Preferred, or Sapphire an transfer points into miles.
What’s a good credit score to be considered for a card like this?
There is no set limit.
I’m not finding any amazon gift cards on either of those sites. Can you post a link?
Amazon doesn’t let them sell online, but you can get them in any office supply store.
is there a foreign transaction fee?
Yes, 3%.
I already have this exact card, am I eligible for this bonus if I get a second one while leaving the first open?
Yes.
exact same card?
i did just that. needed to call them tho.
Can I return after getting the signup bonus or do they taken it back?
i applied and got a message that they will let me know in writing about the decision if i am approved…..
anything i can do to call them and convince them?
Try calling Chase business reconsideration at 800-453-9719.
We have a Sapphire Reserve under my wife’s name that we have no use for (since we get the CSR benefits from a CSR under my name). Is there any specific reason to downgrade my wife’s CSR to a non-fee card versus just cancelling it outright?
Sure, downgrade to Freedom for the excellent 5x rotating categories.
Hi, can I convert my current Chase business preferred Ink card (since 2019, got 80k bonus) to this business cash card and still get the new bonus? I also have Chase Sapphire Reserve card.
No, you need to apply for a new card.
Thanks, answered my question
Thanks, I used your link and got approved.
Congrats and thank you for your support!
Can I downgrade my 2 year old Chase Ink Preferred and still get bonus?
No, you need to open this as a new card.
Does this card grow my credit score?
No, only consumer cards help or hurt your score for ongoing spending.
Hi Dan – can my wife and I each apply for this card with the same business EIN and each get the bonus? Thank you!
Yes.
Happy to use your link. (Too bad this offer isn’t available for referrals…)
Finally got out of Sapphire 48/mo jail in Sep.
When’s a good time to apply for the preferred? I missed out on the 100k bonus a few months ago and I already have most of the Reserve benefits from other cards so I’m looking for the better SYB and lower AF
i could earn 5 points up to 25k spending on each of the categories or 25k spending total of all of them? i
All of them combined, annually.
That’s per card. I have half a dozen Ink Cash cards. 🙂
Thanks so much Dan!!
got approved on the spot!
any reason to use for travel?
Congrats! You can buy travel gift cards with 5x earnings!
Dan, sorry for the off topic question. What’s your opinion on 3rd party travel website trip.com? They have a certain flight significantly cheaper than the airlines website. Thanks!
3rd party sites are fine, but if anything goes wrong or you need to make any changes, may heaven have mercy on your soul.
“You can get approved and get the signup bonus for this card even if you have other Chase Ink cards”
I currently have open both free Ink cards under Sole Proprietary from a few years ago. Can I apply for them again under Sole Proprietary?
Am I likely to be approved?
Yes. No way to know without trying.
I applied for both cards. Ink Cash for Sole Proprietor and Unlimited for my Non Profit. Got the dreadful “Under Review 7-10 days” on both.
Wife got approved for a Sole Proprietor Ink Cash.
She had the Unlimited and also already had the Cash a few years ago but Chase shut it down out of no where a year or two ago.
Not complaining. 90k is much better then the 50k we got a few years ago on our 4 cards though it was much lower spend req then. I think either 3k or 4k.
Update, approved for all 3 apps.
Now gotta figure out how to spend 18k in 3 months
Congrats!
I have an Ink business plus. Is that the same as the Ink Cash or Ink Unlimited?
No
You use to have a pretty identical card advertised together with this card, is that one also this same signup bonus? Can I open both of those cards and open the Business Premier card that you recently advertised that gives 2.5% for $5,000 and over. So 3 cards opening in same day. I am looking for high credit line, income only about 100k, so I want to merge all 3 credit lines to 1 card – after I get the opening bonuses obviously…
You can certainly try.
Can I refer someone to think deal? Refer a friend is only letting me send to the 75k deal
Nope, but we certainly appreciate it if you use the DansDeals 90K link. 🙂
SHIPS TO ISRAEL ?
So they don’t report to the credit agencies. So is there a credit pull when you sign up?
Correct.
I just applied for the Chase Ink Cash Card card yesterday and was approved. But since I dont have any EIN and had applied using my SSN, it did hit my personal credit report and got added as a new inquiry. This is just for awareness for anyone planning to apply using SSN instead of EIN.
Congrats!
A pull is normal, but the account won’t show up, so it won’t affect 5/24.
I’m opening a business, prob won’t make money this year.
What should I write is my business annual income?
Projected income should be fine.
Projected income with SSN is fine too or only EIN?
Either.
in april 2018 i got a bonus on a different chase ink card, then a yr or two later downgraded to chase ink cash. now the business still has this chase ink cash. will this same business be eligible to get this card and get the bonus again?
Yes.

Thanks Dan!
Applied, got a pending email, called up reconsiderations and got approved!!
Will Chase get suspicious if I spend all $6K on Amazon GC from Office Depot in one or two months?
Is that grounds for getting account closed?
Anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks!
No issues in my experience.
Hi Dan(and all),
I’m looking for additional ways to to hit the $6K in 3 months. Would you know of any Jewish organizations that will take, say Amazon GC’s or something of the like?
Thanks!
I’m sure any will be thrilled to.
Thanks Dan!
Any idea when this 90K bonus offer will end? TIA.
Nope, it’s a limited time offer with an unpublished end date.
Does this card have foreign transaction fees
3%.
Applied as sole proprietorship but by mistake didn’t put my name as the business can i just reapply with my name as the business name? Thanks Dan
You’ll probably need to ask Chase to cancel that application first.
I just got approved for the ink unlimited- I’m not seeing the card in my chase app? Cards usually show up right when I get approved. How can I access the ink card?
Do you have any other business cards?
No this was my first
You’ll have to setup a business login after you get the card. Chase can then add your consumer cards into your business login.
Got it thanks!
@dan would funding a new bank account with a credit card raise a red flag at chase?
If I open this in the name of my business LLC, will they make me send in paperwork? What about as a sole proprietor?
If it’s in a business name, you may need to prove business existence.
As the post says, if it’s in your name, you shouldn’t be asked to do that.
I opened a business checking account a few weeks ago and received this card with a promotion to receive 75,000 points. Any chance I can still get Chase to match me this offer? If so what would be the best way for me to ask?
See the first section of this post.
I DM’d regarding this and received a positive response BUT in their response, it had the spending threshold as 7.5k instead of 6k, I sent back a request for clarification but haven’t received a response yet. Any idea why this would happen?
got approved using your link, thanks!
I guess I need to create a business login. Is it simple to move the points over to my personal chase account once I earn them?
Yes via combine points
Good hack to reach the 6k spend if you can’t reach it naturally or got multiple cards. – PayPal yourself/spouse $6k as a business – which will be counted as a purchase (not friends and family) you’ll pay 2.9% which comes out to $174 which is well worth it to receive 99,000 UR points which at an easy value of 2 cents is worth about $2,000
PSA: chase did a double hard credit pull on me when applying – TU and Experian (2 days apart) for same app. Never had this before.
I applied for this offer through a referral from my brother. Got a response that it is under review… I only realized after that with the referral it is only 75k instead of 100k. Any idea’s how to go about this to reapply or redo the application for the 100k? I have not been approved yet, Can that help?
Call and ask for them to cancel the application?
You can ask them to update it to the current offer of 90k which they’ll do but you’ll still have to spend $7,500
How long does it generally take to receive the card in the mail once approved?
And is there any any to start using the card for online purchases before it arrives?
if i apply for ink cash card in Business name EIN and have a Sapphire preferred in my own name SSN both at same address, will I be able to transfer points from the Business Card to the personal sapphire? any specific instructions on how that is done?
Yes, it can be done online or over the phone.
Hi Dan,
I enjoy opening new cards getting the bonuses its both earning $ and fun.
I’m just mixed up if/how much to care for credit checks, Any guidance for how to juggle this?
Thank you!
Don’t sweat those much.
I have a sapphire card.
Is there a way to transfer points to a friend’s chase account?
Or is there a way to transfer points to their airlines account?
Officially just to a member of your household.
With an Ink card you can transfer to a business partner.
Either way, you’ll need to call Chase.
Random question here,
Can I book for a friend on air canada using miles?
Sure!
Also the DansDeals Forums is a great place to ask random questions and to strategize. 🙂
https://forums.dansdeals.com
Thanks!
I never open much credit cards but I Applied for this one, but it’s pending. I see you wrote to call business reconsideration for this. They said allow 48 hours. I wanted to also apply for the other ink card today. Any advice what I should do? I wrote my projected monthly spend is 50k. I hope that didn’t mess it up. Thinking maybe since they might have me in their system as a shnuk with just a regular income and credit score 740. Maybe that raised red flags? Otherwise I just followed your instructions as sole p…
If my business is relatively small with a corresponding small income ie a few thousand a year, is it still possible to be approved for this card? Can I include household income even though it’s a business card?
Yes.
Yes.
& which factor makes them add a higher credit line, high revenue? & how about monthly spending is good to enter a high amount or the lower the better?
Dan, I currently have this card, am I allowed to get another?
Yes.
Inc unlimited site says u earn 1.5% on purchases made for ure business. DOes it exclude personal purchases?
All purchases will earn 1.5x.
I applied and got a voicemail that they need to ask me some questions. Last time I did this they conducted a detailed and prolonged interview where I felt like a real liar making stuff up as I went along, trying to guess what they wanted to hear. It doesn’t feel worth it to me.
Time to start actually selling some items on eBay so you don’t need to feel that way?
Did apply in your own name as the post says?
Yes, applied in my own name. If I tell them my business is selling stuff on Ebay/Amazon and my yearly business revenue is around $1k (true enough), do you think that’s something they’d go for?
It’s certainly possible. You can also explain that you would like to grow that.
Let us know hit goes 🙂
Here was my experience.
I have great credit with a very small side business. I applied last Friday and I was initially rejected. I called recon and they told me that it was because of 5/24. After explaining that it was due to being an authorized user, they began their detailed interview about the business etc. At the end they said they couldn’t approve it on the spot and I should hear from them by mail in 7-10 business days.
I was debating if I should call again after I receive the rejection letter, but to my surprise the card came today!
So it’s definitely worth a try even without a major business.
Hatzlocho!
thanks! how are they considering the credit line they provide you? will make a difference on the amount of Revenue or monthly spending amount? (should i enter a bigger amount at monthly spending or the lower the better?) pls help me. TIA
I just got the ink business preferred 100k bonus after spending 15k. Can I still get this bonus?
Yes.
I had just gotten this card with a 7.5k spending threshold/75k points. Now I SM’d them a request to match me this public offer, to which they agreed to manually add another 15k points upon receiving my original 75k, but they did not agree to lower my spending threshold to 6k
had a united chase card few years ago that was defaulted but worked/fixed credit which is very good these days, would you reccomend applying for this card since its a chase card and might have some flags on my name? i also have a business name i recently opened planning on growing it…if you reccomend applying which would you advise the business name or personal name?
You can try.
Personal name is generally easier.
how do you downgrade this card
there is no reason to downgrade this card. it has no annual fee
does the msg on the phone saying you will receive a decision in 7-10 days mean denied on business cards also or just personal
Just personal.
Have more than one business. I was approved for the Ink Cash card for one business and declined twice for my other businesses (even though they have different EINs). Have I reached the Ink Cash card limit because they recognize my SS number? I prefer the Ink Cash Card to the Business Unlimited card. Maybe they would approve the Business Unlimited Card? I have not tried that one yet because I prefer the Ink Cash Card.
Try for the Unlimited and let us know. 🙂
Instantly approved for this card with $3,000 line as a new business. I’m right at 5/24 but one of my cards is Helzberg credit cars which appears on my credit report but I can’t use it outside the store. In December I will be below 5/24. Either they relaxed the rules didn’t include the helzberg account or combination or factored into me being almost 24 month for two to dep off. I dk but i am pleasantly surprised to be approved.
Approved using your link! thanks Dan, another card thanks to your detailed posts!(:
Thanks and congrats!
Hey Dan. I applied for this card and was denied :/ tried calling the number you posted and asked to speak with a application specialist. They told me that the applications are computerized and they cannot reconsider. Do you suggest?
HUCA.
I applied and the site told me that I’ll be notified within 7 – 10 days but I didn’t get any email about having applied for the card, and being that I am at 5/24 but one card I’m just an additional I called chase but they say they don’t see an application, does that mean that my application didn’t go through?
Odd, try HUCA?
Does adding additional user offer same bonus point for each card?
No.
You wrote”Charges made directly with all cell phone service providers” what does that mean? Any purchase made via phone gets you 5 points?
No, it means with a cell phone service provider like Verizon, TMobile, etc.
my wife was just approved for chase freedom through her chase app but really wanted to try for sapphire card so can transfer ink points, would they consider changing it to sapphire instead, would they do that?
No. Try applying for that as well.
I already have this card. Do you recommend that I close the card that I currently have before applying for a new card or it’s not necessary?
How much time should one wait between different ink applications? Is it 1/30 or 2/30?
if i already have an ink business cash card, do in now get 5x on amazon, in addition to getting 5x on office supplies and internet/ phone company purchases?
Can I transfer a credit line from another Chase business CC and thereby increase my 0% APR credit line?
Yes just SM them
i was just on the phone with chase. i asked if i already have a business cash card, can i get 5x on amazon. they said, no, we are only offering 90k rewards as points, and the 5x from office supply stores and internet companies. where did you hear this from? i read her the heading of your post. she told me it was slightly misleading. you get 5x on amazon only if you get the TARGETED promotion and shop through CHASE’S WEBSITE.
please clarify your post. it states that everyone can shop directly on amazon.com with a business ink card and get 5x.
The guy that spoils the party……..
Where does the post state that?
I’d suggest reading it again.
Just got approved using your link! Thanks Dan for your support and help!
Thanks and congrats!
hey Dan, quick questions regarding the 0% APR.
If I get approved for a $10,000 CC – I don’t get charged ANY interest for the first 12 months?
So does that mean if I have statement of 2000 or 8000, I can pay minimum payment (ie $40) without any fees or accumulating interest for the first 12 months?
-AB
Correct.
How would this be economical when you’re paying 5-6 percent in fees to purchase these gift cards?
Also can I open one for my business under the tax ID and one under my social? And would I be able to combine the points from both?
Store gift cards have no fees.
Visa/MC gift cards often have promotions for no fees, which we post all the time.
Yes, you can do that.
how high or low of a credit score do u think i would need to get approved
I have applied for both cards on same day and got approved on both after a quick call but no explanation was needed. Rep just reviewed the application and pushed it thru for approval.
Congrats!
If I got the bonus on the Ink business UNLIMITED, can I still get the bonus on the Ink CASH?
Yes.
Hi Dan, I just got approved using your link with 6k credit limit.
I want to keep my total credit utilization under 30%, does this business 6k limit get included into my total personal credit limit?
Will it affect my credit score if I call to request a credit increase?
Spending on business cards isn’t reported on your personal credit report, so utilization isn’t a problem.
I just received the card in the mail after applying using your link. I went to Staples to buy some Amazon cards and couldn’t find a single one. I asked a guy working behind the counter, and after first directing me to a carousel of cards, where there were none to be found, he then “found some” behind the counter, but he would only sell me a maximum of two cards, despite having many more. He was nice about it but was asking why I wanted it. I guess they get overrun with requests for Amazon cards and couldn’t figure out why.
Try a different office supply store.
I got approved using your link.
Thanks and congrats!
Where can I find a tracker for my spending towards the signups bonus?
On the app
Applied today 11/23 as sole proprietor, $100k income, expected average monthly spend of $5k, and received nearly instant approval (< 1 minute) w/ $5k credit limit. Thanks, Dan!
Congrats!
Are we going to get advanced notice before this offer expires?
Sometimes that happenes, sometimes it does not.
Hello Dan, I have an existing business unlimited card, am I still eligible to get this card in addition?
Sure!
It’s showing $900 cash back now not 90,000 points
“The signup bonus is marketed as $900, but it will actually come in the form of 90,000 transferrable points”
Thanks!
Had a little gitch because we forgot that we had a credit freeze on our account. Lifted it and called them per their instruction, and they approved on the spot (Helped that we already have Reserve and another card with them.) Thanks for all you do Dan!
hey, i saw what you wrote about this card not showing on my credit score, does that mean it wont show as an additional line of credit? i have a handful of cards, and don’t want too many lines of credit
Correct.
thanks dan!
Rejected, letter states
We based our decision on the following reason(s)
Delinquency or other derogatory relationship with our bank
Credit card balances are high compared to the age of the accounts
Insufficient business deposit relationship with us
Any point calling Recon? Have several personal cards with Chase, 10+ years banking relationship. Chase Proprietary Score shows as 847 (Experian Fico 8 is 749. I wonder if it’s because I shut a biz checking account a few months ago. This application was for a new biz though (I don’t have a biz checking acct for it yet)
Sure
do business cards count towards the 2/30 rule? (only allowed to get 2 chase cards in a 30 day period)
i got the southwest and ink cash card. can i still apply for the ink unlimited?
I got approved for at least 4 Chase business cards in the past couple weeks.
Applied for 2 cards today form and my wife using your link and got approved for both.
THANK YOU Dan
will plan my next vacation with 200K points in a month from now.
Congrats!
Got approved for the card thur your link. I had to make Business account for the card. Can I transfer it to my personal chase account? I would want all my points in one account. Is there any con to transfer to my personal account? Thank you
You can call Chase to add your cards together.
If I just signed up for the Reserve (haven’t even gotten it in the mail yet) and now sign up for this, will it impact either of the sign-on bonuses?
No impact.
if i have 2 businesses but none are official businesses – can i get 2 of the same card?
I would need to apply under my own name for both but i can list it as different categories
(ie- retail & real estate)
Just got approved thanks dan
Approved instantly with yearly revenue of 5k on biz just est. this year, and credit score of 750. Used your link! Always love supporting a brother!!!
Any success getting approved with being at 5/24? Does Private client help?
Applied and got the letter in the mail message. Called retention and they told me they wouldn’t be able to approve me. I gave up at that point. About a week later I got an email saying that I was approved for the card. Weirdest thing.
Do I get 5% only at office Depot/max, staples or any office supply store? Anyone have any experience getting 5% in other office stores?
@Dan, Do you know if staples ships visa gift cards through Instacart?
Are there any tricks for getting around the $6000 spending requirement?
Can you PayPal yourself money?
Is there a way pay a credit card Bill with visa gift cards?
FYI, on my new Chase Ink Cash card, I got a new Chase offer for 10% back on all Office Depot purchases until the max of $11 back is reached. So I could get $110 of gift cards and earn 550 points for $100. After transferring to my chase Reserve account, it could give me $8.25 of value. Nice! I’m not good at math, but is that a 16.7% valuation? Am I doing that right?
Hello Dan and DD Fans, newbie here as it relates to CC signup offers.
1) Why does the application ask for personal details including one’s SSN if this is a business card? I confirmed with Chase that they check your personal credit report, so does this impact one’s personal credit score and also does it get reported on your personal credit report?
2) For other cards that have a large annual fee i.e. AMEX Business Platinum card, is the idea to reap the benefits and then cancel it prior to the second year or is the idea to maximize the benefits to offset the annual fees?
I’m asking because it appears that many sign up for these bonuses and I’m wondering if they all keep the accounts open. Any guidance here would be greatly appreciated.
1) if you are SP ( sole proprietor) then you are your business and obviously need SSN. Even if you have a legit EIN you still need personal guarantee as collateral as would any loan (aka skin in the game ) this is SOP
Nothing to be afraid of as the resulting approved line of credit (Bh) , will not appear on your credit report.
2) those are both good strategies
We just got our first statement. At the top, it states only 4 pts per $1 on phone, internet, cable & office supplies instead of 5, and 1 pt for gas & restaurants instead of 2. It seems they’ve lowered the points you can receive.
That’s the bonus on top of the 1 base point 😀
Ohhhh [head slap]. Thanks. Feel stupid now lol! If I had bothered to actually look at the points earned, I would have figured it out.
Does having a small backyard camp in the summer considered a business? They ask for monthly expenses. I don’t have monthly expenses…Just right before the summer…
Definitely.
Just average that out over the year.
Ok thanks Dan! The overall expenses spread out over the year are extremely low. Is that a reason not to get approved?
Hey Dan, just got approved for the Ink Business Cash, thank you for your article!
I also have the chase sapphire preferred, I don’t see it in my business account when logged in. Does chase not let you link your personal Ultimate Rewards to your business?
thanks again!
Which of these chase ink cards offers no fee foreign exchange on purchases?
Might have missed this but I’ve opened all 4 Ink cards in the past 6 months under sole proprietorship using my SSN, and since closed the Business Preferred after hitting the minimum spend and getting the points. Can I open that card or another one of these again, over and over with the same business using my ssn and keep getting the sign up bonus? Can’t be indefinite right?
i recommend you try reopening that preferred card. banks dont like it when you keep cards for less than 1 year.
agreed, that one I closed as they offered me the business cash and didn’t want to extend a higher credit limit. but if i opened it again today would i be eligible for the bonus again?
What bills can be used for proof of address for Sole Proprietorship?
Anything with your name on it if you applied in your own name.
Hi Dan
Can u still open both ink cards as u had written back in Dec or that wont work anymore?
Should still work.
If I recently turned 18 and opened my first credit card and essentially have no credit score and a very minimal income is there any chance I would be approved and is it worth trying if it might negatively affect my credit score
why is it critical to write your own name
does this have a currency exchange fee?
Hi Dan, which card provides the best cancelation insurance for hotels?
I opened the INK UNLIMITED in the beginning of December as a sole proprietor was instant approved how long should I wait to open the INK CASH don’t wanna raise any red flags
No need to wait.
Thanks Dan, applied today for the INK CASH and was instant approved.
If I have this card for another business, connected to another tax id number, can I apply for this for another business and qualify for the sign up bonus?
Yes
can i apply for this and the ink business premier (that has a 100,000 bonus) at the same time and be eligible for both bonuses?
Yes
Can I use this card and earn %5 back through chase ultimate rewards?
Yes
How long after cancelling one of these, can i open up a new one ad get the signup bonus
There is no waiting requirement.
Bh I’m very happy with my collection of cards which are earning me miles but I’m looking to branch into the hotel cc section , what is a good hotel cc to get started?
You can transfer Chase points into hotel currencies.
Is this credit card worth it for someone living in Israel since it has a 3% foreign transaction fee and if not do you know of a different card that is having a promotion that you can suggest
https://www.dansdeals.com/credit-cards/capitalone/earn-75000-bonus-miles-capital-one-venture-card/
Do foreign transaction fees paid count toward the $6,000 required spend for the signup bonus?
The $6,000 is just for purchases.
If i signup today and get approved, how quick will I be able to get the card so i can swipe it on a huge transaction coming up
A week
You can try calling to have it expedited.
Is it worth it to purchase gift cards and pay the activation fee? For the $300 visa it comes out to 3.31%, but does the bonus points make up for it?
Sure, they’re worth a minimum of 5% back and can be worth much more than that.
But there are also often no-fee promotions on Visa and Mastercard gift cards that I post on this site, including one this week.
Thanks!
@Dan what card would do you recommend to apply now for best bonus/value?
over 5/24 so Chase wouldn’t be an option.
Have large upcoming purchases want to take advantage.
(New card won’t hurt 5/24 since i have 2 accounts reaching 24 months in just about 30 days)
Thank you!
Would take either personal or Business
I have been holding off on getting this card cause I am a salaried worker and don’t have any business. Not do I have hobbies. I did just realise though that I have investment. I have stocks, mutual funds and IRA that I manage on my own. Anyway to use that to legitimately apply?
You are your business as sole proprietor . Whatever you do is what your business does . If you sleep in the subway ; we’ll then that’s your business. Your total income is the income of the business. Just make sure to only provide your ssn (and not ein ) ,and name of business is your name.
not sure why in the post it says “this will not effect credit score” my personal credit score went down 49 points after I applied!
1. You are misreading what the post says. It says spending on the card won’t effect your score.
2. Where did you check your score? Is it FICO or FAKO?
3. Credit inquiries stop counting against your score after several months, so don’t sweat that. Altogether new credit only makes up 10% of your score, or 85 out of 850 FICO points.
ya your right dan, i read wrong! not sure why i thought that. I got a notification from chase that there was an inquiry so i went on chase and i saw my score went down from 790s to 740s….
Chase doesn’t give you your actual FICO score.
Does business cards count toward 5/24???
Recon. rep. told me that I’m @ 5/24, because of 3 personal and 2 business cards.
No, except for a couple exception banks.
HUCA.
I did HUCA already 3 or 4 times.
Should i still try?
Hi Dan, I currently have a 770ish credit score. I followed the instructions and applied for the card and they said it’s under review and could take up to 30 days for a response? Does this mean even if I get approved that I would end up having to Spend 6000 in 2 months or would the deadline for 3 months extend?
You have 3 months (and change) from the date of approval.
Does this card charge a fee for foreign transactions?
3%.
What is the best wait between multiple open Ink cards? 3 months? 2 months? does it matter to switch from Cash to Unlimited each one? Same ssn? same biz name? Is it good to close any under a year?
There’s no set limit. It may be easier for approval to switch back and forth.
Hi applied to this credit card and did all the instructions you told me regarding sole proprietorship and social security number instead of the IEN number for example and they still are asking for different documents from proof of business residence proof of business name tax transcript from the IRS what do I do
Send all that information in your own name.
Can the amazon 5 points be used for amazon advertising on my seller account? Or only amazon purchases?
Dan?
Interesting story – I applied for both Ink Business Cash and Unlimited. Was denied due to too many recent cards opened (I forgot I had opened 2 retail store cards). Called Recon and they still got a denial. Two weeks later, I just received both cards in the mail! Now if only I could convince Citi to do the same, which also got denied for the same reason, any ideas on how to get them to reconsider?
Dan,
Why does it count as 7.5-10% cashback at Amazon?
I was approved but only with a 3k limit. I’ll have to purchase and pay off quickly to get to the spending threshold. Can Chase reallocate my SW biz card limit? I current have a small balance on it though.
My experience has been that you can switch / reallocate any amount of credit among all Chase biz cards (I have 4, and have done that twice with no issue just by calling them).
Can a balance transfer count towards spending the $6000 for points?
I had already signed up for this card when they increased the bonus to 90,000 points. I signed up when it was 75,000. I contacted chase to apply the difference in rewards to my account retroactively and they did!
“I can instantly transfer 25-40K points to Hyatt to do that, a value of up to 6 cents per point.” How do I get it to 6 cents a point? By simply transferring to Hyatt?
I applied and they told me they need to review my request. They said nothing about a 7-10 day letter like others are writing about.
I have opened a ink cash through your link I was instantly approved.
How can I get the five points for amazon?
Buy Amazon gift cards at Staples
Could this points be transferred to chase united mileage plus points
Yes but you also have to have either sapphire card
Pretty cool I got this card about 8-9 months ago for 75k points. I secured messaged chase and they matched the current offer by giving me additional 15k points
@Dan, can you confirm that I can pay my mortgage with Plastiq using these cards? I got approved last night for the 2 cards and was hoping to pay mortgage utilizing plastiq…(posted this q on another post)
Can I use PayPal (f&f) for the minimum spend on the Business cash??
Can I apply for this card if I don’t have a business
If I already have this card under my social, can I open another one under a business EIN? Would I be able to pay it from the same online account?
How long does it take to be accepted for either Chase Ink business or cash card?
• I have to pay my real estate taxes by 2/10– enough time to hear back from them? And, I read everything and got the feeling that it’s best to apply to both Chase Ink cards, and on the same day (I’ll have no problem with 5/24).
Don’t have a business but have sold on EBay in the past. So, since this payment is due, and it will satisfy a good portion of one spend, I wonder if it can happen that quickly. If only one will happen, which one to choose? I know the difference is 1.5% vs 2-5% on categories, but any advice is appreciated. Thx
i dont see amazon gift cards on office depot?
do you have a link where to buy them? in a office supply store?
ty!
Amazon does not allow office supply stores to sell their GC’s online.
How would I get 5x on Amazon?
Not seeing this anywhere
“Earning 5 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per dollar on all of your Amazon purchases is pretty sweet! I accomplish that by using my Ink Cash card to buy Amazon gift cards from Office Max, Office Depot, or Staples and then saving the gift cards to my Amazon account where they stack together and never expire. Personally I view that as getting 7.5%-10% back on my Amazon spending, which makes Ink Cash much stronger than using Amazon’s own credit card for Amazon purchases.”
How much advance notice do you get when they end the offer? I’m gonna have some big purchases coming up but I went to have the 3 month time frame end as late as possible?
Dan, Did you write somewhere that if i apply for both cards on the same day there will only be one credit pull. I think i remb you writing that but cant find it.
Yes, that’s generally correct.
Does applying go on regular credit score recent inquiry
Yes
Does anyone know, if I apply for a business card and a personal card in the same day, how many hard inquiries I will get?
Dan how do you come to then number of getting 7.5%-10% back on amazon spending. Isnt it only the 5% you get back at the office store?
5 points per dollar, but each point can easily be worth 1.5-2 cents each.
Do I have a chance to get approved if I have a chase card less then a year, but I’m an authorized user to Someone that is a few years old?
You have a chance, yes.
Is there anyway to get 5 points for Amazon.ca?
In other words can I buy a gift card for amazon.ca
Will I also get 5 points for using this card for spending on Amazon ppc ads ?
You write “Primary rental car CDW insurance in every country, when the rental is for business purposes.
Primary rental car CDW insurance in every country outside of the US, when the rental is for personal purposes. Rentals without a business purpose in the US have secondary coverage”.
If I rent with a business card for a business purpose, would I need to prove it was for a business purpose?
And if my name is on the card as business name, shouldn’t all rentals henceforth be business purpose?
I wanted to get a second business unlimited account but they ask about projected income. What am I supposed to say . Both cards are for educational support. I used my ssn but don’t know what to write about income and expenses.
Approved for two inks today even though I’m over 5/24. Crazy what they’re pushing.
If I got the well review your application email anyone know if I should call up for reconsideration or better to wait it out and possibly get declined?
If you put $10,000 worth of revenue a year are they not going to approve you?
Got dinged for being 5/24. Even though one card was a department store card they said it counts…
Call again – sometimes the reps on the phone don’t even know their own rules. Keep calling you should have better luck with another rep.
It seems that it’s not worth it if most spending is in Israel as there is a foreign transaction fee of 3%.
I applied Friday and got approved today.
Thanks Dan and JJ
dead?
Hi any good cc recommendations?
I see the bonus has been downgraded to 75,000 points. Any use calling to see if they will match?
Which part of the offer is dead? The 90k bonus or the ease of getting approved?
Hi Dan
I’m at about 9/24 when I applied for the chase ink cash and after calling back the reconsidiration line for the 8 time I finally got approved
Thanks Dan
Congrats!
Hi just tried using the ink cash for amazon gift card at Office Depot was declined.
Anyone have experience with this?
Call the number on the card.
Hi Dan,
Usually on the website it’ll show your progress towards $6,000 to earn the points. On my Business Ink Unlimited it doesn’t. Is that an issue?
same by me
does anyone have a screenshot for the the business cash 90K offer?
Is there a problem to down grade/close a card in its first year since I don’t want so many cards open
Why not?
This is a valuable card for the 5x earnings and there’s no annual fee.
But is it a red flag for chase
But is it a red flag if I close it
Hi,
I joined with 4 cards. 2 for me and 2 for wife. One of my wife’s card (after spending $6 k in 3 mo) was only 75k points not 90k. The other three cards were 90k. When I called they said because my wife was referred, she only gets 75k. The person would not budge. Is that normal?
