Earn 100,000 Points Plus A $500 Travel Credit On The Refreshed Chase Sapphire Reserve® Card!
Table of Contents
Signup Bonus
You can earn 100,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points plus a $500 Chase Travel credit for opening a Chase Sapphire Reserve Card and spending $5,000 in 3 months. Those points are worth a minimum of $1,000 cash back or up to $2,000 towards travel and other categories, but they can be worth much more as shown below.
The $500 credit is a promo code valid for one transaction only, so if you spend less than $500 in the transaction, the remainder would be forfeited. The promo credit will be issued within 6-8 weeks of spending the $5,000 and will expire 1 year from the date of issue.
This card was previously offering a 60,000 point signup bonus. If you previously applied for a card, you can try calling Chase or sending a Secure Message to see if you can get matched to this offer. Let us know how it goes if you try!
Annual Fee
$795 for the primary card and $195 for additional users.
During the first year, you’ll have the card’s $300 annual travel credit and a $500 Chase Travel credit thanks to this offer, in addition to the many other credits described below.
Signup Bonus Terms
- You can now apply for this card even if you have an open Sapphire, Sapphire Preferred or JPM Reserve card, but not if you have an open Sapphire Reserve card. Note that while you can apply for the card, if you have those cards open, you may not be eligible for a signup bonus and will be told that during the application process via a pop-up.
- You will be told during the application process if you are not eligible for a bonus, and you can cancel the application before your credit is pulled. This will be based on your history of opening and closing cards, spending on cards, etc. You can opt to receive the card without a signup bonus.
Those rules mean that it will be tough for many people to get a bonus on this card, but there’s no harm in applying, as your credit report won’t be pulled unless you accept the offer and are approved.
There have been reports of getting approved with the signup bonus offer even if you have received a Sapphire bonus within the past 48 months.
This is what the pop-up will look like if you apply but are ineligible for a bonus:
5/24
Some Chase cards are subject to 5/24 restrictions, meaning that you might not be approved if you have been approved for 5 or more consumer credit cards in the past 24 months. Enforcement of 5/24 has been patchy of late and the only way to know if you can get approved is by trying to apply.
It’s unknown if 5/24 restrictions apply to this card.
Note that the Chase system automatically counts cards like authorized user cards and store cards as cards that count towards 5/24, but if you explain to Chase that those cards are merely authorized user cards or store cards they can manually approve you for a new card.
You can check your credit report for free at the federally authorized annualcreditreport.com to check how many accounts are shows as being open in the past 24 months.

Game Changing Points Boost Value
Cardholders receive a value of 1 cent per point on all travel and a value of 1.25-2 cents per point on select airlines and hotels through Chase Travel.
Chase Hotels by The Edit can always be booked with a value of 2 cents each, so that is a positive development for people who redeem points for luxury hotel stays.
This can be a truly incredible value for some redemptions!
You can get a value for 2 cents per point for premium economy, business, and first class tickets on airlines like United, Air Canada, Aer Lingus, Emirates, Singapore, and more!
Personally, I have always received the most value by transferring points to airline or hotel points, but at a value of 2 cents per point, there are now some truly compelling redemptions via Chase Travel!
It also means that if you earn 1.5 to 8 points per dollar on your spending and redeem at a value of 2 cents each, you’l be earning between 3%-16% back!
When searching in Chase Travel, you can filter the results by Points Boost hotels only.
For example, redeeming United to Israel in business class for 2 cents per point is an awesome deal:
Same goes for United Premium Economy to Israel:
Or between Newark and Los Angeles:
2 cents per point value on Air Canada:
2 cents per point value on Emirates:
2 cents per point value on Singapore:
2 cents per point value on Aer Lingus:
Hotels can also be a bargain at a value of 2 cents per point. Those include The Edit collection of hotels and select other hotels. When you book The Edit hotels, you can also stack that with a $250 credit for 2+ night stays every January-June and July-December. You can split the redemption between cash and points to trigger the $250 credit and redeem points at 2 cents each!
Split a Points Boost hotel from The Edit collection with points and cash to get a statement credit:
You can now get a points bargain in Jerusalem:
Or in Hawaii, including points bargains at Four Seasons:
LA has lots of excellent hotel redemptions with Points Boost:
For existing cardholders, points earned prior to October 26, 2025 by grandfathered Sapphire Reserve cardmembers who applied prior to June 23, 2025, can also be redeemed at a value of 1.5 cents per point on all Chase Travel redemptions until October 26, 2027.
For points earned prior to October 26, 2025, grandfathered cardmembers will automatically receive the best offer available, whether it’s Points Boost or 1.5x on Chase Travel, maximizing rewards value for two years!
You’ll want to transfer points earned from other Chase cards or other household members to Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Preferred, or Ink Preferred cards before 10/26/25 to retain the added value for 2 years.
Pay Yourself Back
Chase Ultimate Rewards cards allow you to Pay Yourself Back for purchases in rotating categories.
Currently, you can pay yourself back for gas, grocery stores, pet supply stores, vet services, and your annual fee at a rate of 1.25 cents per point through 6/30. Those categories rotate by quarter.
A great feature of the program is that you keep the original points that the purchase earned, even though you paid yourself back for the purchase. That means your points will be worth more than 1.25 cents each!
Cash Back
You can request a direct deposit or a statement credit for your points at a value of 1 cent each, though points are worth much more than that through mileage transfers, Points Boost, or Pay Yourself Back.
Airline And Hotel Transferability
If you or someone in your household has a Chase Sapphire Reserve you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points into valuable airline and hotel mileage currencies.
Card Convertibility
You can call Chase to convert this card or any of the following cards into another card from this list:
- Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card ($95 annual fee)
- Chase Sapphire Reserve® Card ($795 annual fee)
- Chase Freedom Unlimited® Card ($0 annual fee)
- Chase Freedom Card ($0 annual fee)
- Chase Freedom Flex Mastercard ($0 annual fee)
Note that some reps will only allow card conversions after you have had the card for 12 months.
Priority Pass Lounge Membership
Priority Pass lounge membership allows you to bring 2 guests with you into over 1,300 airport lounges.
Secondary cardholders get their own Priority Pass membership and can bring in their own guests.
Air Canada Lounge Access
Primary and secondary cardholders, as well as 1 guest each, can visit Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges for free when departing from the airport that day on a Star Alliance airline.
Additional guests will cost $59CAD for locations within Canada, $59USD for locations within the U.S., €59EUR for locations within the E.U., and £59GBP for locations within the U.K.
At this time, Chase Sapphire Reserve cardmembers and their guests are not eligible for access to our Montreal (YUL) Maple Leaf Lounges.
Chase Sapphire Lounge Access
Chase Sapphire lounges are now open in Boston, Hong Kong, JFK, LaGuardia, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Diego, and Washington DC/IAD.
Chase Sapphire lounges in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and more are coming soon.
Sapphire Reserve cardholders can access Sapphire lounges as often as they want via their Saphire Reserve Priority Pass card with 2 guests at no charge. Additional guests cost $27 each and children under 2 are at no charge. Additional cardholders, which cost $195/year, can also access the Chase Sapphire lounges as often as they want via their Priority Pass card with 2 guests at no charge and the same price for additional guests.
I have visited the LaGuardia lounge several times, and it’s excellent!
It has everything from a kids lounge:
To an awesome arcade room, equipped with a jukebox, pinball, shuffleboard, and photobooth for complimentary use:
Grab a latte (parve milk substitute options are available), beer, or cocktail from the bar:
Or enjoy a complimentary facial:
Killer Combos
Stacking multiple Ultimate Rewards cards together can supercharge your earnings by getting you more points per dollar while increasing the value of all your points.
Read more about this strategy in depth in this post.
A Chase Bifecta would consist of a household that has the Sapphire Preferred or Sapphire Reserve and the Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card. The total effective annual fees would be either $95 with Sapphire Preferred or $495 with Sapphire Reserve after accounting for that card’s $300 annual travel credit. With the Sapphire Reserve+Ink Unlimited you would earn 1.5 points per dollar everywhere, 3 points per dollar on dining, 4 points per dollar on airfare and hotels, and 8 points per dollar on travel booked via Chase. You’ll be able to transfer all of your points into airline miles or hotel points.
If you earn 1.5-8 points per dollar and redeem them at a value of 2 cents each, that’s like earning between 3% and 16% back!
A Chase Trifecta adds a no annual fee card like the Ink Business Cash® Credit Card or Chase Freedom Flex into the mix, so your total effective annual fee will still be $95 or $495. Both of those cards give options to earn a whopping 5 points per dollar in various categories on top of the up to 8 points per dollar that the Sapphire cards offer and the 1.5-5 points per dollar everywhere else with a Freedom, Ink Cash, or Ink Unlimited card.
A Chase Quadfecta would add both the Ink Cash and Chase Freedom Flex on top of a Sapphire card and an Unlimited card, so your total effective annual fee will still be just $95 or $495. The Quadfecta is the sweet spot and allows you to really supercharge your spending everywhere.
A Chase Quinfecta could add the Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card to that mix, adding $95 to the annual fee total. This makes sense if you spend money on shipping, social media advertising, or search engine advertising, or if you want free cell phone insurance.
Again, all of these cards don’t need to be in one person’s name. 2 people from the same household can split up the requisite cards that make up the Quinfecta, as they can transfer the Ultimate Rewards points back and forth between themselves freely and they can add each other as an authorized user on their cards!
Airline Transfer Partners
You can transfer points at a 1:1 ratio to:
- United (Star Alliance)
- Air Canada Aeroplan (Star Alliance)
- Singapore (Star Alliance)
- Air France/KLM Flying Blue (Skyteam)
- British Airways (OneWorld)
- Aer Lingus (OneWorld)
- Iberia (OneWorld)
- Qatar (OneWorld, transfer via BA)
- Emirates
- JetBlue
- Southwest
- Virgin Atlantic
Hotel Transfer Partners
You can transfer points at a 1:1 ratio to:
- Hyatt
- IHG
- Marriott
- You can also transfer points to Hilton at a 1:1.5 ratio via Virgin Atlantic
The great thing about Chase Ultimate Rewards is how versatile and valuable they are
The Ink Preferred Card and Sapphire Preferred cards allow you and anyone in your household to transfer Chase points into miles and earns a Points Boost redemption value up to 1.75 cents per point.
The Sapphire Reserve also allows you and anyone in your household to transfer Chase points into miles and earns a Points Boost redemption value up to 2 cents per point.
The Points Boost value is excellent and can mean that a $500 hotel room will cost just 25K points or a $1,000 business class redemption will cost just 50K points. Or you can make your points potentially even more valuable by transferring them into airline miles or hotel points.
- If I want to stay in a 5 star Park Hyatt in the Maldives, Melbourne, NYC, Paris, Sydney, or Tokyo that would cost over $1,000/night, I can instantly transfer 25-40K points to Hyatt to do that, a value of up to 6 cents per point.
- If I need a one-way flight from Cleveland (or Chicago, Detroit, Miami, Montreal, Orlando, Pittsburgh, Toronto, etc) to NYC that can cost $500 each way, I can instantly transfer 9.5K points to Avios to book a short-haul on American with no last minute booking fees. Or if American doesn’t have availability I can instantly transfer 10K points to United for their short-haul award. That’s a value of up to 7 cents per point.
- Air Canada offers one-way short haul awards for just 6K miles. You can also get stopover awards for 5K miles, build round-the-world awards, and get free lap child awards in the US/Canada and bring lap children to anywhere else in the world for just C$25!
- United offers excellent award availability, especially to their cardholders, and awards can be changed or canceled for free.
- If I want to fly in a $30,000 ANA First Class Suite round-trip from the US to Tokyo, I can instantly transfer 145K-170K points to Virgin Atlantic. That’s a value of up to 21 cents per point. You can now redeem one-way awards for half the price as well!
- And thousands of other possibilities from Singapore couples suites to booking Southwest awards with 2 free bags and free cancellations, to stealing 2nd base in middle of an MLB game.
Dan’s quick thoughts:
Coupon books are all the rage these days. AMEX started it, and the model proved to be wildly successful, so love itor hate it, it’s no surprise to see more cards adopt the coupon book.
Chase started things off with the major United card changes, and that too has proven wildly successful, so other cards are now getting the same treatment.
While some people may be worse off with these changes, people who already spend on the new benefits or can take advantage of the new benefits may come out ahead.
Either way, you’ll need to stay on top of things more than ever to ensure you are getting a good value for your annual fee.
For people who don’t want to deal with the full coupon book, Sapphire Preferred remains a bargain at a $95 annual fee and allows you to transfer your points to airlines and hotels.
The loss of the 50% bonus on all Chase Travel redemptions stings, though at least we have more than 2 years to take advantage of the old redemption bonus.
On the other hand, the new values you can receive via Points Boost are much better than expected, and add some great value to the program! It can be a real game changer if you can take advantage of redemptions at 2 cents each!
That means if you have an Ink Unlimited Card or Freedom Unlimited earning 1.5 points per dollar everywhere or Ink Cash Card earning up to 5 points per dollar and a Sapphire Reserve earning up to 8 points per dollar and redeem them at a value of 2 cents each, that’s like earning between 3% and 16% back everywhere!
That being said, Chase has turned a no-brainer simple value proposition into a more confusing one. Some will come out ahead, but it may cause others to reevaluate their card portfolio and spending habits.

Game Changing annual fees…
😀
Primary CDW is not in NY anymore
True for the personal card, clarified that.
Dan, how long would you expect Chase to keep the welcome offer with 100K +$500 around for?
TBD!
Can we work out a list of cheap the edit hotels
Start a thread on DDF?
Will do
Did you set this up yet? I can’t find it but am admittedly new to the forum. I checked dozens of cities last night and couldn’t find anything not significantly more expensive than booking direct.
https://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=140240.0
That’s what I thought also but if you look at the points you’re charged, it’s actually a lot less.
Vages and dubai have some cheaper options
https://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=140240.0
U can add it to the list
Now https://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=140236.0
To confirm, if I currently hold a CSR, I can apply for a CSP and still get the bonus potentially?
Correct.
Points boost is great, but 1 premium Econ flight I looked at EWR-TLV on UA had a price $200 more than on UA website.
So the point boost is a game changer for the 1%. For the rest of us, it’s a joke! The only flights eligible are First Class tickets on mainly on United. It’s a very sad day for the 99%
And Premium Economy, but fair. This card is targeted for the high end of the market now.
Uchhh… thank you but no thank you …
If you’re going at least 2 times a year to luxury hotels and flying business and paying cash (ok!) … this might be for you … But for regular/middle class people, I don’t see it worthwhile
“You can get a value for 2 cents per point for premium economy, business, and first class tickets on airlines like United, Air Canada, Aer Lingus, Emirates, Singapore, and more!”
Is point boosts on all flights from some airlines or all flights?
*all flights or select flights?
Select flights as well
Chase terms:
“We may offer Points Boost promotions on select airline tickets, hotel accommodations, car rentals, activities or cruises. Points Boost offers are indicated by the Points Boost tag and rocket icon. Points Boost offers are promotional and are refreshed periodically. Offers may change with the refresh. Travel inventory is subject to availability. Voluntary trip changes are subject to the redemption value of the new inventory selected at the time the change is made.
For flight reservations: Points Boost promotions apply to the cabin class as determined by the air carrier for the entire itinerary, including certain mixed premium cabin itineraries. Mix & match itineraries, and basic economy tickets within the economy cabin class are ineligible for Points Boost promotions.”
2 cents is only available for business or first class, if available. Premium economy is 1.75 if available.
“To enroll, open the Chase app and go to the Card Benefits section. Find the Apple TV+ and Apple Music offers and follow the prompts to link your Apple ID.”
only through the app? what about online?
Chase app or Chase.com.
the sapphire preferred card will also son be changing to this point system? when?
Yes, it has changed as well.
post coming up for preferred card?
Yes
Great Breakdown Dan, as always. Easily worth $5k+ with the new benefits package
Thanks!
Can confirm one case of 5/24 denial
What did it say?
The usual, letter in 7 to 10 days. Called and confirmed denaik for 5/24.
My wife applied, and her credit was pulled, but she hasn’t yet been approved. Instead, she received a message stating that Chase will be reaching out to her soon with more information. It’s been a few hours, and she hasn’t gotten a call or email… Has anyone had the same experience?
Anecdotally, even though she had previously received a CSP signup bonus three and a half years ago (9/21), she was still able to proceed with the application.
Try calling Chase at 888-270-2127.
Thanx. They said it was initially denied due to security issues, but when she clarified and sent ID – they said they’d move forward with processing. I did find it strange though that they needed confirmation of ID – given that she already has several Chase cards…
Isn’t the 4x on travel only if booked through Chase? Otherwise its 1x.
No.
No chance the Israel hotel deal lasts very long
The Edit Hotels 2 cents points value is a part of the program!
It should stick around.
those hotel examples were all 2 points value ?
My husband is an authorized user on my sapphire reserve card. Can he apply for the sapphire reserve?
Yes.
Great summary as always Dan.
Will existing freedom unlimited personal and ink unlimited get the 1.5 per dollar spend for most spend? Already have those cards. If yes until what date on the 1.5 earning rate. Points boost in clever. And at the moment seeing solid savings. (Data point. I Just booked a United refundable economy plus for same points straight economy would be sna-den on United.)
Thanks.
Thanks!
Those cards always earn 1.5 points per dollar.
Yup, lots of great deals to be had!
Thanks Dan for laying out everything so clearly. Just one question .When you say you can pay yourself back for the AF for 1.25 by 6/30 what do you mean ? Do you have to apply for the card by then or that’s just the current quarterly option?
That’s the current quarterly option.
Is covering the AF usually an option, as I won’t be able to receive those points for until the next quarter or even the following..
Yes, it usually it.
This card was previously offering a 60,000 point signup bonus. If you previously applied for a card, you can try calling Chase or sending a Secure Message to see if you can get matched to this offer.
What should i write to chase to match the new signup bonus?
That you applied previously and would like to get matched to the current 100K+$500 offer. Let us know what they say!
Update: contacted chase got 100,000 bonus points instead of 60,000
Nice, did you call or SM?
Did you ask about the $500 travel credit?
I’d also like to know if you called or sent a secure message? In a different reply to another thread I wrote the response I got via secure message, so I’m wondering if I should try calling instead
Apply today got the bonus (59 month from last reserve that I changes to flex)
Btw from today until 6/30 I have 150 for dining and stub hub and 250 for edit .July 1 start again for 6 months –
Congrats!
New mid tier card or upgrade on the preferred soon?
I applied under the old offer at 2am last night, and although I was within 48 months the app went pending with a hard pull. Im pretty certain it got stuck at a fraud check (its happened recently to all my chase apps). Now seeing that the new offer is more appealing to me. should I just submit a new application under the new terms?
Can’t hurt to try.
How do you know to comment on Dandeals but didn’t know about the new cards
If I just got my card yesterday and signed up for the 60,000 offer at 550 bucks. Does it make sense to call and try and get this offer instead.
Sure, or try sending a secure message.
So with the hotel credit. Once I receive it on 10/26 and use it by the end of this year. Will I get another next year?
Correct.
I just applied, it didn’t tell me anything about whether I’m eligible before pulling credit, and then said they need time to consider my application and they’ll get back to me (which I assume means they’ll deny) – any idea what the problem could be? I’m under 5 24 and credit is 750, decent utilization.
Try calling Chase at 888-270-2127.
I had a pop-up that said they could not approve me. I called and they said I was under consideration. Are they slow denying people?
Maybe they could not give you a bonus, but considering you for the card.
I applied and was approved yesterday, before the deadline, not knowing what the new offer would be. I wonder if the grandfather benefits will remain if I ask Chase to match the new offer sub + the $500.
You won’t lose grandfathered status for that.
Sent a secure message asking if they can match the new offer and the answer was no.
Thanks Dan! I just cancelled all my summer vacation hotels booked at 1.5 and rebooked them at 1.75-2 cents with points booster. These are not edit hotels. There are plenty of cheap hotels with the points booster
Awesome!
I just Applied and it did not give the option to accept the Card
What did it say?
hi just wanna say that there are plenty of kosher restaurants on the chase sapphire open table website… If you explore the search by city option for example Miami and then search for kosher you get ”La Matera Kosher Argentinian Steakhouse”, ‘Motek Coral Gables’ and for nyc you also get a bunch. Am i missing something here Dan?
Also is the up to 2 points per dollar the same on the personal and biz card?
It’s not valid for OpenTable, it’s for Reserve Exclusive Tables.
Any chance to get good value for Alaska? Chase shows no car rentals in Alaska and flights are just regular 1.5. Point boost flights are crazy expensive and with stopovers..
Hi Dan! Thank you so much for all you do! I really appreciate it. I applied last night and was instantly approved. I’m only at 2/24 but also opened 4 inks in those 24 months. Didn’t spend regularly on any of my chase cards. Problem is that in the benefits section I’m not seeing any of the new benefits. And the spend meter says 5k spend to receive 60000 points. Should I contact chase?
I called chase and asked what the signup offer is. They said 60000 points. And the annual fee is only $550. I told them that the application said that the annual fee and signup bonus would be more. And that I could show a screenshot of the link I applied through. They said I should send a secure message describing the issue and I should attach the screenshot. I just did that. Anything else I should do?
It seems to me that I received a grandfathered card despite applying on the 24th.
A quick update about your applicationA quick update about your application
It looks like you’re not eligible for a bonus for a Chase Sapphire Reserve® credit card. This can happen if you’ve already held or received a bonus for this credit card. “Current holders of personal Chase Sapphire cards are also ineligible.” We haven’t done a credit check yet, so there will be no impact to your score if you don’t continue.
I thought this second reason is no longer a bar?
Is there a way to check the points booster hotel eligibility without having the reserve card?
I applied, didn’t get an option to approve the application before submitting it, (I thought it had something to do with me doing it on a phone browser), and it got pending. My credit wasn’t pulled then since I didn’t get any notifications from my monitoring services of credit being pulled. I called chase recon in the morning, and they said that it is still pending, still no credit pull. She said that calling back in 24-48hours, chase would have an answer on the application. I had signed up for the CSP back in 21 for the 100K offer in June, and that was my 5th card, so I am clear on the 5/24 section, but the 48 months from the CSP bonus is only up in August. The chase rep mentioned that the 48 months would be an issue, but still didn’t give me an answer on my application status. I will keep everyone posted on my progress.
Under the old 48 month rule, you would have been auto-rejected for the card.
When I mentioned it to the Rep, she said the same thing but also said that she couldn’t confirm or deny the status of the application yet.
I applied last week and was approved for 60,000. Sent secure message for an offer match for 100k +$500 voucher and was denied.
“I understand the significance of your inquiry. I regret
that we are unable to match the 100.000 points offer on
your account. Our credit card offers vary and change, and
new ones become available on a regular basis. We apologize
if our conclusion is not in agreement with the outcome you
anticipated.”
Anyone get matched? Any point in calling?
I got the following response as well:
“Zachary, the new offer you are requesting is not available for a richer offer so the original offer will remain.
…
You will receive 60,000 points after you spend $5,000 on purchases in the first three months your account is open.
…
We know this is not the outcome you were expecting. Although we’re unable to grant your request, we hope you still trust our decision and efforts in serving your financial needs.”
I got the popup about not being eligible for the bonus. I have a chase sapphire, think it will help if I cancel my sapphire an try again?
Thanks for the heads up Dan. I had thought the refresh was was a negative, but after reading your review I’m interested in it. I did just get the Preferred version when there was a 100K UR elevated bonus, and I’m over 5/24 for almost another couple of years. I don’t mind facing the pop-up bonus denial at the pre-hard pull phase; I’ll just cancel if that happens. I am concerned about getting a hard pull and then finding out they would like to apply the 5/24 rule to me. Is there a pop-up warning about 5/24, or, I imagine they would only know about the number of recent cards I’ve opened after doing the hard inquiry and then I’ve got the additional pull and no new card to show for it?
Thanks again for the education, and any advice you may have.
Does ad spending include, for example, platforms like Amazon/Walmart?
Wrong card?
Is the 500 spend bonus in addition to the 300 travel credit? That would mean it pays itself back easily for the first year…
It is!
Sorry if this was already answered already, but I was wondering if I book hotels through Edit now, but my stay will be after 10/26, if I will receive the $250 credit. I have a “grandfathered” sapphire reserve. Thanks.
You will have to book starting 10/26.
Hey Dan,
I’m curious what you make of how Chase describes the Apple TV+ and Apple Music subscriptions. It feels a little unclear whether it’s something that renews each year or if it’s just a one-year thing.
In the recent email about the new Sapphire Reserve updates, they say: “Complimentary subscriptions to Apple TV+* and Apple Music*. Worth $250 annually.” The Terms & Conditions use similar wording — just “Complimentary Apple TV+” and “Complimentary Apple Music.”
But with other perks like Lyft, DoorDash, and Peloton credits/promos, they actually use the terms “annual” or “annually.” That difference makes me think the Apple benefit might be a one-time deal.
Maybe I’m overthinking it — but curious how you’re reading it.
It renews each year.
would it work to buy a gift card from an resverve table resturant and sell it to a company that buys gift cards would that trigger the credit?
Sure
i only got 60k bonus. is there something i can do?
Call Chase or try sending a secure message and ask to be matched.
I previously opened a chase sapphire preferred in June 2021 (via your referral) and received a sign-up bonus (100k back then) on statement from 8/6/21. As per your advice I signed up for the chase reserve via your referral link on June 20th and was approved (I didn’t get an alert that I was not eligible for a sign-up bonus). Since it has been under 48 months since I received my bonus would spending starting now not count towards a bonus or would I be eligible at all. When I messaged chase about matching the current sign up offer, they responded they won’t and that I am eligible to receive 60k bonus points after 5k spend in 3 months from account opening; “You’ll be eligible as long as you have not received a new cardmember bonus for this card in the past 48 months” doe that make me eligible after 8/6 if I opened the card in June- what do you think?
Sounds like a dumb rep. Try calling and asking for a match.
I called. They said anyone who applied from the 22nd on is eligible for the new bonus and the rules state they can’t retroactively give that bonus to anyone who applied before the 22nd 🙁
Applied on June 24th and I’m only receiving 60,000 points and paying $550 annual fee. Messaged chase and I’m waiting for a response. Called chase and the agent opened an escalation for me.
Under 5/24, Got Sapphire Preferred in May 2023 with bonus.
Can I get Reserve bonus now?
Which bureau chase pulls in CA?
This is so annoying for the regular travler not planning to go luxuary or premium economy.
How do I know if it makes sense to keep the reserve or go back to the preferred?
I applied and denied the bones. I called and was told by 2 different reps that there is now a lifetime bonus on the sapphire cards. I last applied for a sapphire card in June 2021. Is there anything else to do?
I got the bonus 100k bonus and was immediately approved for the new Sapphire Reserve offer. On Tuesday I downgraded my Sapphire Preferred to Freedom Flex (after having gotten the sign-up bonus for the Sapphire Preferred in June 2021). I applied four days later for the Sapphire Reserve – and I was able to use Apple Pay to pay for Stubhub tickets before June 30th and before my card arrived (had to activate the stubhub credit first though).
Can I use the first-year $500 travel credit to book travel for someone else? Or is it non-transferrable?
You can book for anyone.
Thanks!
Is the $250 credit on the Edit hotels only if that was spent in cash or also on points? I called Chase and they said it would also apply if I booked with points, although your example shows that there needs to be a $250 spend?
