is there any restaurant certificates that can be used in Toronto?
Last month I purchased 2 restaurant.com gift certificates for Hummus Elite in Englewood, NJ. When I tried to use the first, the restaurant would not honor it. They said they wanted to cancel with restaurant.com and would not accepts and certificates. I contacted restaurant.com and they offered me a credit to use on their site.
Hummus Elite in Englewood NJ refused to accept the certificate claiming that the K (contract) with restaurant.com had expired months ago – HOWEVER, restaurant.com states that the K is still in force and the restaurant should have honored the certificate. From my observation, as soon as the restaurant got some local traction it decided to throw restaurant.com out!
