Flights from JFK-TLV-JFK are $684.
Flights from TLV-JFK-TLV are $724.
Flights are via Istanbul with a total travel time of 12-15 hours. Turkish is a perfectly safe airline and thousands of religious Jews have taken their flights without issues. They are also a very good airline that still gives 2 free bags and they have an awesome Star Alliance lounge in Istanbul. Their Premium Economy comfort class product has rave reviews, so if you have the chance to upgrade to that on the cheap you should definitely go for it.

Nothing in late december?
They have been listed for past few days for end of nov but when you click on the fare orbits/kayak say it’s now 1300$ – what’s the deal with that? Will they come back?
beware of the booking class if you are trying to get united miles for the flights on turkish
Are there any deals FROM Israel in mid November for a month?
I’m not getting this on tlv to jfk 3/31 and return 4/23
mike how do you know? because that happened to me last time… it depends on the price u pay?
mike, what is the deal with booking class for united?
anyone have seen 12/22 depart nyc-tlv-nyc?
is there any chance of the same deal for the summer?
nothing for passover – boo
I’d prefer the double Chase points —
However, are there other benefits of using the Gold Amex other than the 3X points?
(i.e. Travelers Insurance? Any ‘extras’?)
Thanks for posting good rates for flights from Israel to NY!
anything for Pesach?
IT PAYS TO RATHER GO WITH UNITED FOR 836.00 AND COLLECT MILES ABOUT 11K TO ISREAL @0.015 PLUS ITS NON STOP –
How do we upgrade to Comfort?
@Kenny:
Using the dats above as guidleines I tried a reverse trip and found that it seems to work. For example, I did a trip from tlv – NYC 2/2 to 2/9 for $724
@Dan Is it a straight flight from TLV to JFK??
or there is a stop in Istanbul for how many hours??
@nr: nope, and this year pesach won’t be cheap cuz of the leap year and every year the good deals are until 3/31. and this year pesach is in april…
@Sloimy
it’s a stop in turkey
stops are ranging from 1 hr options to 3-4 hrs.
@Sima G, comfort class is abour $1500 and up, not a cheap upgrade, when tickets are 12-1300 during higher seasons, it sometimes pays to upgrade
@nr pesach tickets starting price are $884 pending avail.
@bj summer prices start at ~$1300, same prices as last summer so i doubt you’ll find anything close to this
@Magid, 12/22 is extremely exp. it’s 1. high season, and 2. not avail
lag baomer?
@mike: I haven’t been able to get United miles for a flight I took with Turkish this summer. I have emailed and emailed and even called. They keep say they’re coming, but they’re not. I think the problem is with United. Anyone else have issues with getting United Miles from Turkish Airlines?
Why is everyone interested in flying Turkish Air. This country is no friend of Israel or the Jews.
Is it possible to get this deal (NYC-TLV) Nov 19-26?
TIA
im still waiting for non stop tickets to israel for pesach… last year we went for $500 each.. hoping for that again!
@Turks:
First off its hundreds of dollars cheaper than El Al.
Second, their service is far superior and they treat orthodox jews better than El Al does…
@chanie:
not avail.
I’m all for El Al, but it doesn’t fly to my home city in the US and Turkish Airlines was way cheaper than any other airline this summer. My son had a yarmulka on at the Istanbul airport and no one bothered us at all. I saw other frummies there.
THIS is with a stop only???
@P:
yup
When doing the booking-refudable-travel trick to cashout the Barclay card, do I need to get the statement credit before canceling the ticket?
i tried doing it but its 784
ok so how do i book it. i went on orbitz and it says tlv to ny is 864
@Anonymous:
For dates in the post?
@jeff:
Read the post.
Alot of dates say they are 685. but when I click select they say the price has changed. Did the deal finish?
@mayer:
Which website are you using to book?
orbitz.com
@mayer:
If only people would read the post they wouldn’t need to ask questions in the comments..
I’m sorry, but is there any way to still book with these prices? priceline has it for 784. Is the 684 deal dead?
@DB: what are the odds that there will be/are they any similarly priced jfk-tlv flights around january 8ish?
@mayer:
Are you using dates in the post?
I used fates around those lines because i wanted a longer stay. I have to use those dates only? im really sorry for driving you crazy.
@mayer:
Those dates only.
Notice it doesn’t say “Sample” this time 😉
Hi Dan , I understand that your not a travel agent therefore I’m not asking u if specific dates are available. I just would like to know if there’s any reason that I should spend time on finding a cheap flight myself or if I would go through a travel agency they will get me the same price with giving another yid some $$$. In short do travel agents charge more for customers or they get a commission from the airline themselves .thanx
I just booked 2 tickets. thank you so much Dan! tizke lamitzvot.
BEWARE–THEY ARE NOTORIOUS FOR LEAVING LATE FROM JFK THEN YOU MISS YOUR CONNECTION TO ISRAEL–MY SON FLEW WITH 2 SMALL CHILDREN & GOT STUCK FOR HOURS IN TURKEY—NO FUN AS YOU CAN IMAGINE
when you book, try no to take the one hour stopover since that in many times you will miss the connection fligyt due to a dealy, and some times you will have to wait about 6 hrs for the next flight.
Dan, Do you have any experience with miles not transferring from Turkish Airlines to United? Any way to resolve this?
Dan, I booked 2 tickets on Turkish @ $784.00 at the beginning of the month, having missed the $684.00 price. Is there anything I can do at this point?
Try british air
whyaich, what is best deal for 12/22 +-2 days?
dan, how can I book a connection a day later and take a trip locally? or arrive early am and depart late pm? (so they keep lugggae)
safe to tour?
Dan-
I can see the fares on Orbitz, but when I go to book them, it says, We’re sorry, the fare for that itinerary is no longer available. The fare for that trip is now $1,024.77
Any suggestions?
@Yael:
Read the post!

@Magid: @WhyAich: Call me ill tell u the dates ayvayilable on turks at 845 367 1282 after 11/17
