Currently participating in one of the greatest domestic fare wars we’ve seen in years is American, JetBlue, Southwest, and United.
Most of the dirt cheap flights are valid on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from mid-August through mid-November.
Google Flights is a great resource for finding valid dates, though you can’t book flights through Google and you can’t search Southwest fares through Google. Once you find a valid date just go to Priceline to book. Please see this post for directions on how to cancel Priceline tickets up to 11:29pm the day after booking.

Look on Google Flights, for example JFK-ORD on JetBlue only.
Do you prefer Google flights over ITA MATRIX? I’ve always used ITA MATRIX but it’s been buggy as of late so maybe it’s time I switch over.

They’re both buggy, I try to use both and figure out what’s going on.
They’re both pretty good on one-way fares, but struggle with round-trip fares.
the only amazing thing is that southwest gives the opportunity to fly from laguarida to LAX for only 7000 miles RT
Anything from ny to detroit?
Is there anything on yet for Dec. 10-14 from NYC to Miami or Fort Lauderdale? I’m getting about $220 for those dates on those routes.
