Adults tickets are $350, kids tickets are $282. Be sure to buy your infant a seat, for $280 you’ll be able to bring a carseat and not have to hold them for the trip.
Flights with a short connection have connections between 3 and 5 hours. Long connections involve 12+ connections. Without a Russian visa you’ll be confined to the airport for your connection.

I bought a ticket yesterday from jfk to tlv so thanx for that! But I wanted to point out that after my tickets were confirmed the stopover time in Russia was only 5 hours instead of the 15 hour stopover I saw when I was buying the ticket.
Is there any cheap deals for round-trip leaving from Tel Aviv?
To be specific I was able to get a short stopover JFK to TLV and a long Stopover TLV to JFK. More than 6 tix was about $100 more. Booked on airfare.com thru Kayak. I cancelled so someone else should be able to pick them up.
Approx how many hours is a short stop and how many hrs is a long stop?

Bears repeating: Dan posted on a previous thread that the way to book a seat for an infant is to make up a birthdate that is more than 2 years old. According to Dan, while the name on the ticket has to match, the birthdate doesn’t. Wish I had read that comment before I booked my tickets.

I got a confirmation number from Airfare.com, but after reading all the horrid reviews online I just want to make sure it’s a real ticket.
Can anyone send a link where I can find the booking on Transaero? I only see it as an option if I have a ticket #, which I don’t.
Transaero is the worst airline on earth after Malyasian, Air Asia and Egypt Air. I would rather pay double than fly Transaero.

are there any short stop overs for sukkos time? i only found for the return 28 hours total with a long lay over. is there a shorter stop over for the deal? i found sep 23 to oct 8 and am flexible but rly do not want 28 travel time.
Can you get these prices if you start your trip in tlv?
I just flew transaero for 1900$ for my family of five (one baby) and will tell you all that if you have Israeli citizenship you can leave the airport . we got a hotel for the 13 hour stopover and slept all day for 50$. They had a free car from the airport and you pay some money to get back. It was a great airline and I would do it again. Baggage allowance was two per person.

Thanks so much, I cant go for that long though!! I can go a few days early and leave a few days after yom tov but thats about it. It seems the deal is either on yom kippur or shabbos unless I take a 26 hour stop over which is not for me.
