Delta NYC Flash Sale For Award Travel From Just 5K Miles Round-Trip!

Delta is having a flash sale for awards from NYC to domestic, Caribbean, and European destinations.

The sale ends 3/18 or while seats last. Limited seats and dates are available on sale.

Domestic awards are on sale from just 5,000 miles round-trip. I found that rates are even lower than what is advertised. For example NYC-Miami is advertised for 7.5K miles in basic or 9.5K miles in main cabin, but when clicking through there is availability in main cabin for just 5K miles round-trip!

Caribbean awards, such as NYC to the Bahamas are on sale from just 8,000 miles round-trip in main cabin.

Europe awards are on sale from 34,000 miles round-trip.

I think NYC-MIA has been 5K regularly this winter, so if they charged more now, it would not exactly be a sale.

Heshi

Oh, wait. If that 5K for NYC-MIA is for a round trip, that would be a 50% savings.

Do you need a delta credit card for this deal?

Ari

How does this differ from the regular preferred chase card deal offered earlier?

AB

Direct to tlv bargains?

I’m trying to find out information I looked on the Dan Deasl Forum form as well, about flying my son on Turkish air for after Pesach to go back to Israel…
does anyone know about how they are as an airline?
how safe it is in the airport over there since he has a long stop over…
The tickets are $600 round trip and everything else is almost double that….

S209

I’m flying Turkish in a week, it’s bh completely safe and has two rooms for Minyanim and kosher food in multiple locations. Your son will not be the only one traveling on his flight to TLV.. a million people a year fly through Istanbul between North America and Israel.

Oi

OK thank you very much for the information!
looking online there’s some negative feedback regarding the professionalism of the pilots and the overall safety of airlines…
perhaps that’s old news.
also nervous about the fellow passengers and overall atmosphere towards Yidin in the airports how that would play out for a 19 year old boy on his own.

S209

Also, the airline is fantastic in general. There are fewer seats than other airlines which means you have more room, and their service is award winning top-notch.

i have done it a bunch of times as a bochur alone and as a father with kids.its always been perfectly pleasant on plane and in the airport .and no your son probably wont be alone.if he is flying back for the zman chances are he will be alone with another 30 bochurim and loads of avreichim.but he may have a very noisy flight with tons of kids and crying babies……..

Oi

TY for the response!
I think the crying babies situation is prevalent on all the airlines to Israel before and after Pesach!:)
