-If you make a booking on WOW’s US site you can click to cancel it within 24 hours. You will then have to email wow@wow.is within 24 hours of the booking with a copy of the cancellation confirmation to get a refund.

WOW is fashioned as a ULCC (Ultra low-cost carrier) like Spirit, but WOW. Note that in case of flight cancellations WOW Air likely will not rebook you on another airline, so you may have to wait several days to be reaccommodated.

They advertise cheap fares, but the extras add up quickly.

For a one-trip way between the US and Israel you’ll pay:
-$50 in advance/$70 at checkin for a carry-on bag (22 x 18 x 10 in up to 26 lbs). You’ll pay an additional $60 if it doesn’t fit in their bag sizer and you’ll have to check it under.
-$70 in advance/$80 at checkin for a checked bag (up to 62″ and up to 44 lbs). You’ll pay an additional $18.18 per pound over 44 pounds.
-Reserving a seat will set you back an additional $20-$100 depending on the seat.
-Water, soda, and snacks cost extra.
-There’s no Wi-Fi or entertainment onboard.

However for an extra $91.96 each way you can book a WOW Plus fare at the time of booking that will include a free carry-on bag, checked bag, and assigned seat.

-1 personal item smaller than 17 x 13 x 10in is included for free on all fares. That means a bag like this one or like this one can be worth buying to have a free personal item.

Fly to tlv? Rather, fly to Iceland full stop. Then, half a day later, fly to tlv.

Biz class

Does WOW have business class?

sim

maybe monkey business class.

Yossi

I’m trying to book Sep 25-Oct 23 but the price is more, what am I doing wrong.
I’m getting $139 EWR-TLV however return flight TLV-EWR is $400

yehuda

sorry but most of these dates are not at that price

me

yup cant find a cheap way back

H

I checked Dec 5 – Dec 14 from ewr to tlv. Total came out to $639.98
Without adding anything. Just tickets

What am I doing wrong?

Chaim H.

Has anyone flown WOW’s business class?

ephraimh

one ways does the trick.

but is a one way TLV > EWR refundable within 24 hrs

Michael

I did 2 – 1 ways ewr to tlv for Dec 10 to Dec 19 and I’m getting 599 and 299. What’s wrong?

Bracha

The special price for those dates must be sold out

Tour

Reykjavik, Iceland was there it’s amazing you could spend the day at blue lagoon that’s about a half hr from the airport gr8 place

dov

When booking they automatically charge me extra for luggage. Why is that?

sim

you may have chosen it, now in order to remove it, you need to start the booking over.

iahphx

You could go to the Blue Lagoon, but like almost everything else in Iceland (other than the airfare), the price is steep. A day ticket will cost you $57. It’s arguably worth $25.

LawrenceGuy

Forget it the price shows 119 and by the time you book it not available at that price. Crappy marketing scheme.

Arod

Got for $518 round trip for two people thanx Dan!!!

ann

for which dates?

Arod

Beg of feb

Shea

How do I cancel a reservation

Shea

I figured out how to cancel. Thanks, Dan. I got one way for $119 but paid full price for the way there.

jake

how??

dave

whatabout a stroller? do they charge for that?

Mike

What does “Always search one-way for 1 seat and then work your way up to the number of seats you need in order to book as many seats on sale as you can” mean??? Am I buying separate tickets for each person?

Bracha

Yes, you’re buying separate one way tickets for each person, one at a time. There’s a limited amount of sale price tickets for each date, so you might not be able to get the reduced price. If you want to fly on a specific date and will be happy with any money you can get off, then book it this way. I did one way on my phone and one way on my computer, simultaneously, to make sure that I’d be able to get both ways on sale.

yehoshua-chaim

quick question has anyone flown WOW yet.

reb dan. any insight you can give us. any thoughts on minimal layover?

I think you should come to kc and lets do a tour stop on education and CC points

yossi

how is the seating? is it very narrow? do they have something like economy comfort or plus?

sim

they have the following seat choices:
A. No pre selection – Free
B. Regular seat selection in the back – $8-9
C. Regular seat selection in the front- $9-10
D. XL extra seating -$40?
E. XXL extra seating -$60?
F. Sit up front with the pilot – $5

yossi

whats XL XXL? is this for leg space? and whats up front with the pilot? isn’t the pilot locked in the cockpit?

Bracha

I didn’t read your instructions properly (it’s one of my many faults…) and I booked a round trip ticket. I tried to cancel it so I can book 2 one ways, but it said “Cannot cancel reservation ___. Reservation does not meet cancelation rules.” What do I do now??

Bracha

So I called them and was able to cancel, but by the time I went back to rebook as separate flights, the departing flight went up by $160… Totally missed the boat on this… Thank you anyway Dan!

Mo

Has anyone flown wow? Is it a normal experience?

Eli

Had the same issue. I called and they allowed me to cancel over the phone.

AKGH

I booked two tickets for last night ewr-tlv-ewr for $398 round trip. January 14 to 28. It was 139 going and 259 coming back. Somehow it came out to $399 and change but close enough.

I should have booked a piece of luggage at the time… So I guess now I’ll have to pay little more for not doing it right away. Oh well.

Spicyturnip

These look great. Does my baby need a passport? Anything else? Any tips on that?

bornnbredlakewood

jan 16th from ewr to tlv is more expensive

AB

Luggage is an issue . Even when paying they allow 44 lbs all airlines allow 50
Why are they so not generous?
Hand luggage 50$ why
And a 27 hour flight before yom tov is a killer

ah

ORD-TLV Thanksgiving weekend, $380 RT, including selecting seats ($10 per leg) and additional carry-on ($40 per direction).

emes

by the time i booked, the price was $624 roundtrip. Is it worth it? or shoudl i cancel and wait for a better deal?

emes

by the time i booked, the price went up and my total is $624 without luggage. is that worth it for this cheapy airline? should i cancel & wait for another deal?

M.S.

can i cancel in first 24 hours???

emes

yes

ShalomB

I booked a one way ticket from Baltimore BWI to TLV for $139.00 and a one way ticket from TLV to BALTIMORE BWI for $119.00 total $258.000 – my parents are going before so I will send some GATCHKES with them…

Shulammis Saxon

When I choose WOW Plus it still says I have to pay for my carry-on and checked luggage-it only comes up free if I choose WOW Biz. Why? In the description it says that it’s included with WOW Plus!

sori

I am having the same issue. I went back to try to re-book and it does not allow the option to take it out. for four people it automatically added $799. How do i fix that

DAvid Maeir-Epstein

I would like to start my flight Tel Aviv to LA or SF around November 8, but there are no dates for November. I’d like to return via an east coast airport around November 26

Aviva

We were told that there’s no kosher food from newark to tel Aviv (stopover in Iceland) anybody know if there are any kosher options to purchase?

Nate

Why can’t I still get that price?

WOW! disappointed

I was really excited at first with WOW! I was supposed to fly BOS – TLV Oct 2 leaving at 7:00pm. I arrived at the airport actually very early… past security and at the gates already at 5:15pm… Before boarding I went to the restrooms… and as soon as I heard the announcement I was at the gate.. but they had already closed the gate leaving me behind. No one from WOW at the gate was able to assist in any way, nor on the phone… they said I would need to wait min. 24 hours for assistance. I hope it will be quicker and they’ll be able to help… and hopefully it will not end up being what a WOW! disappointment. I hope to update soon that WOW was helpful and it worked out for the best!

WOW! disappointed

UPDATE: a total disappointment! There is no ticketing in the airport. Forget about them helping you to book with another airline. They wont even book you on their own flights. The only option they give is to buy a new ticket online yourself. At the airport their’s no one of authority to talk to and neither at their customer service office. The customer service is awful! They had me hanging around in the airport all day, in the hopes that they will re-book me for the next day… and then they said too bad.. go online buy another ticket. I will not be enticed by their low fares… if they wont honor it.

Ajl

Has anyone actually flown with them? How was the flight
