In case anyone is interested………From Chicago we are flying on United and transferring to Brussels Airlines in Brussels with a flight to Tel Aviv for $630. Our dates on 3/12 to 3/26.

People should be aware that flying through Turkey is not always Skittles and beer. https://www.timesofisrael.com/my-brother-in-laws-24-unpleasant-hours-in-ankara-airport/

Passenger

I just flew Turkish. Was excellent, and they offer a free tour of Istanbul. I’m frum, and it was perfectly safe. People were very friendly.

Yehuda

Is This USD, for the Toronto flights?

Ben

Does this work to fly from tlv to nyc and back or is it only leaving from the US to Tlv?

the Kosher food in Turkish Business Class, in flights originating in LA, is not good – it packaged by, at best, a mid-level caterer which prepares meals for sale in supermarkets – the meals are slightly better in flights originating in Israel, but, still, not anything like what one should expect in Business Class. on the other hand, the non-Kosher food and service appeared to be quite good. Turkish clearly allocates more money per passenger for non-Kosher meals. also, though Turkish flight attendants were courteous, as one would expect, the ground personnel were not courteous and offered minimal help in a very reluctant and unpleasant way. Turkey is a fascinating country and Istanbul is a marvelous city but be advised Ataturk Airport was a hub for jihadi traffic – presumably, however, that traffic has declined since daesh has been routed. Finally, the cabin temperature in Business Class was ridiculously high, over 75 degrees F. Turkish might be the right airline for some, especially, Economy passengers, but not for me.

Warning to Jewish Passengers, fly through Turkey at your own risk. They are known to treat Israel Passengers with hate and disrespect. People have gotten beaten up at Istanbul Airport. Dont let the cheap fares get the best of you. I have had terrible experiences there as well as multiple other passengers.
