Its not guaranteed lie flat, they have started semding narrowbody jets for many of their flights.

For the dates I checked, the low fares seem to be a stopover, so from the US, it will be at least 3 planes one way.

In the winter most flights are not lie flat, but economy seats with the middle row blocked off!!
Flew this route last December, a lot of people in this ‘business’ cabin we’re not happy at all.

@Dan. This is actually true. I flew EWR – TLV – EWR UA and they had plenty of kosher meals and they just gave them out on request (or if you were wearing a yarmulke (-; ). No need to reserve before..
Then why did I (and many, many other online reports) not get a kosher meal when I was switched to a UA EWR-TLV flight at the last minute?
normally when they change to small aircraft they will just notify 1-2 days before the flight

What’s the point of a lie-flat biz seat for an approx 3 hr flight? I guess if you were going to fly out of Zurich to TLV anyways, it’s worth it. That’s not most of us. Most of us are not from NYC and will have to find our way to Zurich, to hopefully land a “lie-flat” seat for 3 hours. Not such a “hot” deal.
