I booked three tickets for me wife and daughter. Here’s my issue, I hope you have some insight.

I didn’t put my infant baby on the itinerary thinking it is like a domestic flight and I’d be able to deal with it later. After talking to expedia they transfered me to El-Al after waiting about three hours on hold ELAL told me I need to talk to expedia…..

What to do?

is it too late to get the cheap flights round trip???

If you can change the itinerary before the cancellation deadline, why not coordinate so that people who are going to cancel but got in on the offer sell to people who missed the deal altogether? You can even charge a commission.

Just to confirm, expedia is 2:59 AM on Wednesday morning?

Dont think cancellation will be an issue at all..they will be happy to cancel your ticket whenever as they are eating a large loss on these tickets

@Shmuel: download an app called Fast Customer. It will call ElAL for u and when there is a human on the other end of the line, it will connect you. One of the best apps I have.

There is no way to change the names. I just called the three time!!!! So stop posting that you will buy them…

They will most likely reject any request to change names. The airline and sites probably started monitoring this forum because of the huge loss they are taking and have read all of the comments. Expect them to do anything possible to attempt to offset the loss.

Why is every one requesting to buy off tickets nobody has yet posted being successful at changing the name?

Yes I have a few tickets to sell!! the only problem is you cant change the name so its impossible for anyone to sell their tickets. So all of you asking a million times with your phone numbers and email address please get a life and stop posting here. Go back to sleep and keep dreaming it will happen. @Dan: Ya. I bought a separate ticket for my 1 yr old. For $400 definitely worth not having to hold for 16 hours…

Just think how many more people could have had the opportunity to go to Eretz Israel and by buying these El Al tickets that others hoarded and now cancelling. Free name changes are not standard in the airline industry. Perhaps,on the next big deal or even now, Dan can post airline policies regarding name changes so others won’t hoard tickets and allow more people and Eretz Israel to benefit.

The fare was pulled at 1pm and it just took time from then for it to be pulled from all website.
Nothing to do with the quantity of tickets.

Before it was pulled the price kept on going up as more people booked from the 300’s to 400 then 500 and then they pulled it

@Dan: Dan, I log on every day and have gained tremendously from your postings. I booked 5 tickets yesterday for Pesach through Priceline (3/19-4/3) at 380.00 each it took me as far as choosing seats, putting in my amex # and I got a resv # on my screen. when I had not recieved an email back I called and they said there was a processing error and they were unable to procure the seats and they are not honoring it. they did not charge my card . do I have any recourse ? Thank you so much!

Don’t buy or sell anything to a random stranger (It may even be illegal to sell tickets).

If you can’t verify who you are dealing with, not worth it.

Nobody has confirmed they have actually changed a full name, so I’d be very suspicious.

Dan, as people hoarded or purchased more air tickets the price rose. While I was reviewing my schedule when I could fly, my single ticket went from approx. $360 to $450. One person noted on this site that he bought over 100 tickets! Your poll reveals that lots of people many tickets. Remarks on the site are clear that people are unloading their seats now. The point is, if people bought what they needed, others could have purchased at a lower rate. As well, others could have bought before a site ran-out of seats or before hoarders tipped the website that something may be wrong when they see a bulks of seats where being sold. Just a thought! The bottom line is one needs to know how to play the game and the rules. You do a great job!

Dan did you cancel or keep your ticket for pesach just curious?

I spoke to American last night and they confirmed 100% AA miles on the AA operated flights, 0 miles for any flights operated by Swiss Air, and 50% miles on any El Al operated flights.

I have done that in the past. I had topay 10% of current fare. I assume it will work. Call and ask what would happen if your babysitter cancels and you have to bring along baby.

Does anyone know exactly the time the cheap fares were taken off the table. Cheapo air claimed by the time they put my order in, the were no longer available, even though I saw them online for at least another half hour or more.
