- Some fares are basic economy, but having a credit card for airline cards waive many basic economy restrictions. For example:
- If you pay with your Chase United Explorer card or the Chase United Explorer Business Card you can bring a free carry-on, a free checked bag, and have priority boarding.
- AA now allows carry-ons on basic economy fares, but if you have a Citi AA card or Citi AA Business Card you can also get a free checked bag and have priority boarding.
- Delta allows carry-ons on basic economy fares, but if you have a Delta Business Gold, Delta Business Platinum, Delta Business Reserve, Delta Consumer Gold, Delta Consumer Platinum, and Delta Consumer Reserve you can also get a free checked bag and have priority boarding.

You can pay for the ticket with “hybrid points” such as AMEX or Chase points with a card that allows your points to be used at an increased value for airfare in addition to be able to transfer points into airline miles.
If you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve® card you can redeem points for 1.5 cents each towards travel. If you have a Chase Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card® Card or Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card you can redeem points for 1.25 cents each towards travel.

Even though the fine print clearly states such, I seem to recall not being charged for a checked bag even when not using the card to purchase basic economy tickets, simply because I have the card. On the twitter page is doesnt give you the option to check “tweets from people you’ve enabled for mobile notifications.” I used to be able to signup for texts easily but they changed their website….Please help!!

I wish I could send you a picture of my screen….It used to show me what you are referring to but right now it is not giving me that option….It just takes me to the account settings page and then when I click on sms notifications there is no where that it says to enable “Tweets from people you’ve enabled for mobile notifications”
Is there anyone you can reach out to from twitter to look into this? Because if someone else is also having the same problem it probably means other people are having these issues too.

Maybe just download the app and enable push notifications?
