During the marriage the kesubah requires a man to provide the necessary or food, clothing, (and life insurance for an unfortunate untimely passing) so it’s disappointing that his dear wife lived and was left impoverished. God forbid that I pass away- is is appropriate that a million dollar fundraiser try to pull in seven figures from families already struggling with parnasah? $1/day is all is costs me to prevent that.
This is an unfair assumption that everyone can get affordable life insurance.
