I asked the same question by a different deal and Dan said yes. And then I signed up for the last deal of a nearly 3k coin and got my money back plus $50 (every deal is a different amount depending how hard it’s to get etc.) I signed up for this one now.
Why would you you sign up for it if you can flip it yourself for up too 15 times the price?
Because they work with you and your guaranteed that someone will buy it from you. Flipping on ebay is not guaranteed since there are so many and you don’t know if the price will crash while your trying to sell it and you’ll end up losing on it. Also as some were saying on eBay people can claim the box arrived empty etc. I signed up now and got both and had a very easy time talking to them.

There are some complaints in DoC comments, but overall it seems the feedback is positive.
@sms – realize that you have maybe a 1% chance of actually getting the gold coin. Always hard to get these, and this is highly limited, and through the roof demand.
Dan, maybe there should be some sort of notice that it will be extremely hard to get, so that people aren’t super let down on Thursday.

I can’t recall being asked to solve a problem with PFS.
There is the below paragraph in the contract, which I think means that they will charge you a huge fee if you fail to purchase the coin. See below. If it is very hard to purchase, it sounds like they’ll make money off me, unless that paragraph applies to you purchasing the coin but failing to mail it to PFS.
Liquidated Damages for Non-Delivery of Coin to PFS. To the extent that Member does not deliver the Coin to PFS, Member acknowledges and agrees that Member shall be in breach of this Agreement and that as a result, PFS shall sustain lost profits as a result of same. Accordingly, if Member fails to deliver the Coin to PFS, then Member agrees that Member shall be liable for liquidated damages as a penalty equal to the lost profits sustained by PFS from non-delivery of the Coin. PFS shall advise Member of the amount of the lost profits sustained by PFS from non-delivery of the Coin and Member shall remit payment of such amount of lost profits within five (5) days thereafter.
That’s if you buy the coin and don’t complete the sale.

How can they tell if you purchase it or not?
They can’t until you enter into their system the mint’s order number. Once you do that , they (PFS) have a right to consider it a done deal.
That being said , I’ve done the deal with PFS on numerous occasions and have always been paid in a timely fashion.
Yes that’s if you buy and don’t send to them. I had no issues the few times I didn’t manage to snag cuz it was sold out already or the time I did and sent to them and got the amount they said they’d give.

Better chance of making a profit getting the silver coin, its only $65 but chances are much higher you would be able to puchase one. The gold coin is gonna be extremely hard to get, unless youre a bot of course.

1 per household, per credit card number. I tried what u wrote a few years back. I even put apartment 4 G on a one family house. They canceled botg my orders. Also after purchasing a coin with a limit. They dont mail for a week so they can verify and check out to make sure no one cheats

That’s an interesting question/point. I believe over $600, they’re supposed to, but they’ve probably never paid a commission over $600 in the past, thereby making this a first.
It would be a 1099-B and there is very specific rules for precious metals. For gold and silver it is several ounces which I’m sure with these deals we won’t surpass. So there is no reporting requirement

US Mint also has a return policy as well. I’ve bought and price went down and I returned and lost out on ~$10. This was on the old return policy but now there is a 7 day policy so could still return if the price doesn’t pan out immediately.
Also worth noting, the Mint is currently putting returns in quarantine. Still hadn’t processed my return after 3.5 weeks. Just an FYI in case you don’t want to hold a balance like that.

i was able to put the gold in the cart but then it kept freezing and by the time it unfroze, the gold was sold out. But I could not remove the gold coin from my shopping cart, so when I put the silver in afterwards, i could not click through to buy the silver! It kept on showing an error saying I had to remove the gold.
I dont mean to make fun of anyone. this was a great opportunity; there are some great places to give maaser from these coin deals.

Seems easy for the silver (I got one) but have not heard anyone getting the gold. This was way worse than the previous ones… even other ones I was unsuccessful with. I was hit with bans, cloudfare exceptions, captcha requirements. got it in my cart quickly and got my credit card info in… but never got past that. The silver too was a pain only because the site was crashing. But like 20 minutes later the silver was still available and went through.

Usually at least 24 hours before you’ll get a real confirmation that your order was filled. They take that time to weed out any bogus orders. The confirmation you received today is just that they received your order. if you didn’t abuse the mint system you should be fine.
