Can you please tell me who does the kosher supervision (as I was unable to find it on the website)? Second question, are there 3 minyanim a day? If so, are they Ashkenaz or Sefard?

Stu

This appears to be an Israeli tour company. I wonder if they have planned for people from outside Israel who keep 2 days of Yom Tov and celebrate 8days.

TGIShabbos

Stu, I wonder if they are even certified kosher or have minyanim. I’ll wait for a response from the group

Avi

Most guests come from Europe or America
So they keep 2 days Yom tov

Airfare is included from the US or from Israel?

The link offers you an option to ask all the questions you would like, why are you guys asking questions over here? I imagine that they don’t necessarily read posts on their adds in order to answer questions, and I don’t think it’s so fair to question their kashrus in a public forum, that was a big expense, without speaking directly to them, (adds on dansdeal are not necessary one of dans deals). It clearly says on their site that it’s glatt kosher lamehadrin, if you want to know who is the Rav hamachshir just ask them directly.

Gabrhal

Interesting name you have. My grandfather had the same one.

I am not commenting on the program but on the tenor of some of the posts.
It is astounding to read people casting aspersions on the kashrut without asking or checking it out.
I personally believe that any site or program that states Kosher leMehadrin, NOT geBROKT knows what it is all about. Check out the entire site before you comment.

They obviously are more geared to their Israeli clientele and did not design their website to quickly answer the questions Dan’s readers ask. Maybe they should have better researched what Americans kvetch about before advertising to Americans.

BC, I welcome your question. I don’t believe I was attacking, kvetching, or doubting their Kashrus. It’s fair and understandable to ask who the kashurus is under and/or which certifying agency. It’s always possible I missed it, but scanning their entire site didn’t list name of a Rav or a Kashurus organization. Typically, frum Jews don’t just rely on something saying “Kosher” or “Kosher Lemahadrin”. If you aren’t familiar with the programs in the United States, typically a program’s website will list who the Rav Hamachsir is (and his qualifications) and/or an organization such as Star K, ORB, CRC. Once I find out the kashurus level, if it means my family’s expectations then I’d like to look further into the program.

BC

BC Replying.
I was really referring to a post that stated “I wonder if they are even certified kosher”. That was not you. The tenor was disturbing.
Their Israeli web page did mention NOT shruria
הכל בכשרות מהודרת גלאט למהדרין לא שרויה.
which I believe refers to what we call NOT gebrokt. If they are aware of this they are probably Orthodox standards and from that point it behooves the client to ask what they need to ask.
My issue is that it is wrong to cast aspersions by implying they might not have hashgocho.

Clearly the organizer of the program isn’t following up in these comments. I’ll reach out to them via their website. I won’t post the findings, but their response will privately determine whether I will consider them or not. There are various programs this year in pretty exotic destinations (South African, Thailand, South America) and each program goes into rich detail about their kashurus and Rav Hamchshir with references.

It’s actually very good that people are questioning the kashrus because lots of these programs in way out place are run by Israelis that are not frum and I personally know someone that accidentally ended up at this kind of place and only realized right before Yom Tov and was stuck there for first days in a real bad situation. I don’t know anything about this program which may be a good one but definitely worth doing good research

EZ

Ahmad Ali. I agree.

Joe

Is this really kosher?
