In the constantly shifting political landscape, healthcare remains a hot-button issue and has been the subject of many a debate in the political arena. There are numerous problems with the traditional healthcare system, and every political candidate believes they have the solution.Much of the focus in this 2020 primary season has been on healthcare. That’s not surprising, given that voters have generally listed it very high up when ranking their most important issues in deciding who they will vote for in 2020.

Americans are increasingly concerned over the constantly rising healthcare costs. According to a recent poll from Gallup, 61% of U.S. adults are really concerned and upset about rising healthcare costs. Nearly 50% polled also said they are worried that they won’t have enough money to pay for healthcare. Fortunately, the solution to all this is at your fingertips, accessible to everyone. Health-sharing!

According to the Washington Post, “An option that is gaining momentum among wide demographic swaths is health-sharing ministries — organizations that facilitate the sharing of healthcare costs among individual members who have common ethical or religious beliefs.”

Health-sharing is the straightforward way for a health-conscious, community-minded individual to pay for and receive the healthcare they need. There are no unnecessary costs involved, and no hidden fees.

Now, United RefuahHealthShare, the first and only Jewish health-sharingorganization, offers multiple options based on family size that can work for everyone. With United Refuah, the process is smooth and almost ridiculously simple. But — United RefuahHealthShare is not just about savings. Anyone have personal experience using United Refuah they can share?

David

what do they pay for?

F.G.

I checked into it earlier this yr. But, they won’t cover you if you have an pre-existing conditions in the 1st yr or so.

DL

Like pretty much any other healthshare, they do have limitations on pre-existing conditions. This includes no sharing during the first year, and limited sharing of $25,000 per year for second and third years.

I think the best part of their program is the open network, which means that you can go to any Doctor or hospital anywhere in the world. As long as the facility will accept URC (Usual, Reasonable, & Customary) which is 150% of Medicare allowable for Doctors, 160% for hospitals, and 170% for outpatient facilities.

They also offer unlimited 24 hour access to Board certified Doctors using telephone or video chat. These Doctors can diagnose, treat, and prescribe for many conditions without ever leaving your home. They also just partnered with LEAA to provide their members in the NY area with in-home primary care and urgent care.

It is not ideal for everyone, but thousands of members are benefiting from their great program without having to sign belief statements….

Is pregnancy considered a pre-existing condition, or a limited benefit for the first few years of coverage?

DL

Pregnancy is shared as long as the due date is at least ten months after your enrollment date. They actually just got rid of the additional pregnancy fee for family memberships.
