We’re all ready to put 2020 behind us – and what better way to do that than to get a head start on your 2021 resolution?  If your goal is to lose weight, you have to check this out: HealthyWage is here to help with their innovative solution to helping participants find motivation to achieve their goals with cash prizes!

Founded in 2009, the company is built upon principles from studies by Harvard University, The University of Pennsylvania, and Carnegie Mellon, that tie financial incentives to weight loss success. Those studies indicated a correlation between financial incentives and weight loss success.

Simply plug your weight loss goal into the calculator, answer a few questions, and reveal your prize. TODAY ONLY, HealthyWage is adding an additional $75 to every prize for DansDeals readers. It is free (and fun!) to play with the calculator and figure out how much you can win for achieving your goal. Once you enter, all weight verifications are done via user-submitted videos on their app, available in both iOS and Android. At the end of your goal duration, if you have hit your goal, you win your prize. All payments are made via check or paypal. It’s that simple!

The best thing about a HealthyWager is that it is completely individualized.  YOU set the goal, YOU set the terms, and HealthyWage adds the cash incentive for motivation.  This is not a fad diet; how you arrive at your goal is up to you.

The program has been featured on many news outlets including The Today Show, Good Morning America, Fox and Friends, NPR, and Consumer Reports. There are many stories across the web of people who have found the money to be the ultimate motivator in weight loss. HealthyWage has paid over $21 Million in cash prizes so far, and that number is growing rapidly. The average winner has lost over 40 lbs. and won over $1,200!

Does anyone know whether you have to pay your wage every month regardless of whether you’re losing or not? Also, what if you gain one week? What happens?

Amanda from HealthyWage

Greetings! Your challenge bet (amount decided by you), can either be paid in monthly installments for the duration of your challenge or all at once in the beginning. You’re only required to submit two verified weights: once at the start of your challenge and once at the end to confirm your weight loss. We do recommend you submit weekly weights but these are unverified and do not have any effect on your challenge outcome; instead, we recommend these to help you stay on track so you reach your goal. If you gain one week, that will not hurt you, in fact, that can be normal for weight loss! As long as you achieve your weight loss goal by your challenge deadline (both also decided by you), you WIN!

Maybe I’m missing something, but I just put in my information, and for a payment of $300, I have the chance to win $401.67, so my potential losses are $300, but my potential gains are $101.6. Why would I take those chances?

Because some people’s goals are to lose weight, not make money…This gives built in push and incentive. (However, WARNING, disclaimer- if you lose money AND not weight, you will feel doubly as bad )
And also, The more you want to lose, the more your winnings make money sense.

So deceiving.

The prize includes your money that you put down!

So, if you bet (lend them) $6,000, and they say You could win $6281.6!
That is only a profit of $281.6!

Amanda from HealthyWage

That is correct – our challenges involve you making a “wager” on your weight loss. Many winners have told us this has been a motivation factor because they want to WIN money (profit up to 300%), not lose it! The loss aversion principle combined with the financial incentive can be an effective tool on a weight loss journey. We recommend playing with the calculator till you find a prize/profit that motivates you (you can run as many experiments as you want)!

Jay

IBet

I’m actually in the middle of a Healthywage bet. Is there any way I can apply this promotion?

just wondering

This is based on trust? Where do you weigh in?

Amanda from HealthyWage

Participants are required to submit a verified weigh-in at the start of the challenge and at the end. Verification is done via a video that includes certain steps. The video can either be created and submitted via our app or uploaded via our website. You can find out more about the video process and other weigh-in information here: https://www.healthywage.com/rules/video-verified-weigh-in-rules/
