United flights 84/85 feature the ex-Continental 2-2-2 business class seats on the 772. These seats are definitely less claustrophobic feeling than the newer seats, but they also aren’t as private and don’t feature all-aisle access.

United red-eye flights 90/91 feature the new Polaris 1-2-1 business class seats on the 77W. These seats are more claustrophobic than the older seats, but offer more privacy and feature all-aisle access.

On the 77W you can choose from solo seats or seats for people traveling together.

United 77W Polaris Class

Both planes include United’s Polaris business class service with Saks Fifth Avenue bedding and pillows. Savvy travelers will also request a Saks Fifth Avenue mattress pad, gel cooled pillow, slippers, and pajamas, as those are not proactively offered by flight attendants as there aren’t enough of them for everyone.

United’s new Polaris lounge in Newark features kosher food and wine upon request and offer private rooms with daybeds and luxurious shower rooms. I reviewed the Chicago Polaris lounge here.

Hi Dan. Is there a need to request the lounge kosher food in advance or is it just there for the asking?

Dann

@dan do they now have kosher food?

I was in the ewr lounge erev Yom kippur and they didn’t have any upon request. The wine was kosher but didn’t say if mevushal or not….

I dont know if it has to say clearly mevushal…

But is it official that they now have food?

Ephraim

The wine in the club is not Mevushal but the staff told me that they were instructed to give me a new bottle to open myself, pour myself a glass or two, and then give them the bottle back. I called the 1K desk just now to ask about the food. The agent, while more than eager to help couldn’t really get me an answer about food in the club.

Adam

How many United PQM miles would this round trip flight earn?

No kosher food in lounge. I asked the chef and he said he had non and I can help myself to the snacks. Not sure where @dan got the ‘upon request’
Who do we request from? When?
