FWIW – I bought a pair of the Boltune BH024 -the ones advert here for $12.99 last week.
Love these – I’ve bought probably 5 different brands off Amazon (all <$30 ) over the past few years – I don't expected them to sound like Apple/Samsung ear buds (my daughter owns both bud brands). But these are the closest in sound quality, without the price tag.
The BH024 are an excellent alternative over the name brands – and much easier to stomach if you lose a bud on a plane or step on a bud that tumbled from your ear at $12.99.

Got this deal the other day. I had the bh020 (~$21), which had better, easier-to-use controls but I couldn’t get it to pair with my Windows 10 laptop, so I returned that one. This one paired and for $13, it does the job.
