Amex is once again offering a 20k MR cert for every 50k transferred to Delta. You must register for this offer. Offer ends 9/30/2011.

This might even stack with the current 50% Delta bonus for first time MR transfers, also running until 9/30/2011.

Possibly.  But even if not, it's still better than the 50%, only that you'll have to wait forever for those 20k certs, so don't expect to be able to transfer them to CO.

Come to think of it, last time I also did both promos and didn't get the certs*. They also offered $200 Macy's giftcards in lieu of the certs.

*) At least I think so. I transferred the MR to someone else's account, but I don't think they got the certs.

There were two promos, and the bonus DL miles posted, but I don't know if the certs came.

IIRC The promo was a bit different last time, where for every 50k MR transferred to DL you could choose either a 20k MR cert, or a $200 Macy's GC.

If I do two Amex transfers to a DL account (with no prior Amex history) that is signed up for both promos, do you think I'll get 50% immediately for the first transfer and 40% (via MR certs) for the second one?

The 50% is only for first transfer. Once you've done one its no longer valid so it only makes sense you'll get the other promo on your account.

Does this make sense for TLV travel or is the availability still horrendous? It comes out to 54K MR for a RT ticket, right?

Do more flights open up closer to the travel date?

Does status effect availability like it does on CO?
