You better bet people are being rejected. Search the forums and see for yourself. I got rejected about 5 times just recently, and each rejection seems more and more firm and aggressive.

Interesting, the same guy who slipped the code 6608 for the 100,000 biz gold card, M JOHNSON, has just sent me a very firm rejection, here is the response I got from him:

"Dear XXX XXXXX,

I am sorry but we will not be able to honor your request.

Our Marketing Department periodically solicits promotions to our Cardmembers with specific terms. Typically, each solicitation may be different. The terms and conditions can change throughout the year.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
Sincerely,

M Johnson
Senior Manager, Email Servicing Team
American Express Interactive Services"

Just to note, this is after being rejected 4 times by other CSR's.

rejection by means of phone call, not sm- sorry for not being clear. Pick up and phone and call in.

I have gotten rejected as well on the phone. the phone is no cureall. it just gives an instant answer as opposed to sm

i know s.o that called in today and received a notation after he spent and waited etc. so not sure whats going on by you.

On a different note, I don't think we have to go crazy about SD. Being a DD, or a FTaler, is not about landing on the right page, it's a mentality. How many friends did you talk to that gave you the looks when you told them what you do! The fact is that most people would not call again, or even call in the first place.
To spell it out even more, consider the following necessities to be a good DD:
1. Have good credit,
2. Be extremely organized,
3. Be able to spend thousands of dollars,
4. Not suffer from an overdose of superstitious'ness thereby being able to realize that accepting bonuses is not first degree murder,
5. Have the guts to call,
6. Have the guts to call again,
7. To be able to learn and retain lots of information
8. To not feel bad for credit card companies.

And the list goes on.

My girlfriend gives me grief for getting all these bonus offers and she feels bad for the CC companies.

I told her not to feel sorry for them at all.

i have been trying to get bonus points for 2 days now and every single time they say the computer is updating and they cant access to put my points in

anybody else have this or are they trying to brush me off?
