At least with SPG and Hyatt the elite member needs to make the reservation and add an additional guest, not vice versa.

not sure the issue i do this all the time with marriot and spg whatever rewards no. is on file gets benefits ou just have to have a matching name on reservation. every now and then they say they need to see the platinum guest and in that case you dont get the benefits

FYI, SPG is not matching Fairmont Platinum Status directly. They are only matching from their top four competitors, which are Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, and Shangri-La.

Man I still cannot believe I missed this deal...

I would highly recommend that whoever bought it doesnt play with it and sell night or stuff. I think they would use anything as an excuse to cancel your account.

Dan,
There is one benefit where you can do 3 hours of charity work and get a free night. You can do up to 2 sessions of 3 hours each. I think that's a pretty easy way to earn 2 free nights. But make sure to check out the terms and conditions.

I didn't miss it (I could have bought it while it was on), but I didn't quite realize what a rarity it was and its worth until after the deal was over.

I am new to Fairmont with this deal, but have not received anything in the mail. My online Certificates show 4-$25 Dining Certs, Local Food Experience, Willow Stream Spa Treatment, and Complimentary Night and Upgrades.

I have not reserved a San Francisco night.

I believe I also signed up for a gym bag, not received. Has anyone received anything in the mail from Fairmont?

i literally just got my packet in the mail! talk about slow... anyway, now i just need to figure out when to use it!
