I was wondering what would be the best first cc for canadians (preferably with miles rewards) for 18 year old and if their credit system is linked with the american one (meaning if I maintain good credit on a canadian card will I have good credit in the american credit system?)

Highly doubtful the credit systems are linked, Your Canadian bank doesn't have your SSN or American address, what would they use to track you?
