Anyone know how to give a thank you post (or take one..

You don't have to make a whole new thread about it. You just asked the question in a different thread.

The mods asked everyone not to clog the threads with stupid posts/threads.

Ok guys relax. The way to give Thank You's is to simply click "Thank You" on the top right of any post.

Hmmm. Good point. When I'm logged in I see the Thank You button so I always assumed it worked but when I log in as a regular user I don't see it.

Ok, Thank You's have been fixed. You will now be able to see a "Thank You" red star above each post. In addition, I've enabled Karma which I believe is a better option, and therefore based on what you guys think, I will keep whichever is better. Karma means you can click either the word [applaud] or the word [smite] by each post to award points or detract points from members. Please do not abuse this system. It will allow members to see who they can trust, and who constantly spews false information that's not worth reading.

On the left of the post your looking at, under the username you have the option to either "aplaud" or "smite".

The Karma has now been switched to a more appealing name - "Kudos" - so in case you are looking for the word Karma, it's not there. In addition, Dan has switched it to a single number which will go up and down with the rankings people give you, as oppsed to a specific +/- score.

I removed the ability to say "Thank You" to a post. No one was using it and I don't like it.
