go snorkeling, you will have renewed admiration for the One Above,
there are 2 boating companies that take you out on a snorkeling trip. both offer speed boats and sailing, go speed boating. very awesome. also, don't bother renting a car, taxis from the airport are cheap and u don't need a car on the island.

Now that you've been there, do you have any tips, Levi (or anyone else)? I may be going in the end of December with my wife for a couple of days.

If you are flying from NYC then you can fly RT with your wife for 23,000 Starpoints when you Transfer to LAN and use their OneWorld reward chart. For more info see todays post on the Dansdeals home page.

Does anybody know of a kosher eatery that ships food ahead of time to the Atlantis in the Bahamas?

Hundreds of Dansdeals readers have booked trips to the Bahamas for as low as $0.
When you go there write about the experience in this thread!

I spend a week in Freeport a couple years back.
A few notes from my experience:
-extent of kosher food is lays and fruity pebbles. so don't rely on getting much there!
-Best time to go is when the sun is shining... I went Nov. time and pretty much sat inside all day due to the rain/cold weather!
-Cuban cigars are legal ;)

unfortunately flights from LA are a tad more then $0 so this trip is a no go for me!

Bahamas Minyanim, Etc...
« Reply #18 on: March 04, 2010, 01:38:44 AM »
Hi!
I saw a bunch of people asking, so i figured I'd try to get this started. If everyone (that is interested) could post here their dates, hotel, and number of people that could help a minyan (e.g. men), maybe we can all work something out. Also, I heard rumors of a Chabad down there; does anyone know about this?

I will be there (with as of now 3 other men) from 6/8 - 6/14.
6/8 - 6/9 in Island Palm Resort, 6/10 - 6/14 (Parshas Korach) in Bell Channel Inn.
If you have my email PLEASE don't PM me :)
