I don't mean to be rude, i know you're trying to help me, but if i didn't write that then you can safely assume i don't care and i'm good for anything even a $600 room if thats what you recommend, it's not like i'm asking for flight help and didn't say where i want to go

Nor was I trying to be Rude but to be Honest I was using your post and my answer to let others know that read it to SPELL it all out.

In yur case if $$$ isnt a problem then say so.Id think that for most people on here $$$ will be a problem. And if they werent looking for a Award stay = free night, Id suggest they go to www.betterbidding.com and www.biddingfortravel.com to see which Hotels people were winning and how much theyw ere paying and to go that route.

If a person really couldnt care then Hotel Europa has a great location and is the place most celebs stay when in AMS

If night credit or pts are important then theres a Renaissance a few mins from the Main train station, a Marriott by the museums as well as a Hilton, no Hyatts. and 1 SPG The Pulitzer that gets mixed reviews depending on what a person is looking for, its a apart of The Luxury Collection and having spent 4 nights there I have no idea why

you can walk through the market and see the flowers and all other sorts of touristy stuff

visit the spanish portugese shul - its amazing acoustics and very beautiful

visit anne frank's house

take a boat ride on the canals

you can take the train into the jewish community - it's the 2nd stop or something and it's like a 10 minute ride

i visited amsterdam on an 18 hour layover and wa pretty surprised how much i was able to see in such little time

enjoy!

Correct. all great (clean) things to do in Amsterdam. You could prob do all of it in 12 hrs! Just hope for you that the weather is good. sometimes it could rain and be cold for days. Best thing to do is when you arrive to go to a 'GVB' information desk (Amsterdam's public transportation) in the arrival hall and get yourself a 24 hrs unlimited rides card. it's 7 Euros and definitely worth it. they just changed the whole ticket system there and it's very confusing for any tourist unless you have this pass. Careful though, this is valid only in Amsterdam. NOT on the train from the airport to Amsterdam!

I took some pics for Mishpacha Magazine, not sure if I'm allowed to upload them.

Theoretically, you could visit Antwerp as well, especially with the new train tracks, its only 1.5 hour (leaving from AMS airport, right into the heart of Antwerp).

If around, and not too busy, I can show you the place. (Birth place SF, statue SF,...) :D

I believe €53 return. There are faster trains that cost more I think (thalys.com).

Kids <7 are free, if I remember correctly.

http://www.nik.nl/kosher-restaurants-shops-and-food-in-the-netherlands/

I don't know when this was last updated. some restaurants closed down. scroll down the page for the kosher groceries stores. they are mostly located in the 'buitenveldert' neighborhood. an easy tram ride from from the city center. (tram #5) takes about twenty min.

Note: this is a list for locations in the whole of the netherlands. not all are in Amsterdam.
