Has anyone spent Shabbos in a Seattle hotel? Is there any one that works particularly well for shuls, etc.?

Doing a quick swing around town....figured might as well post some findings to help everyone in the future..I'll start with a couple...

Island Crust Cafe (.com is their great website) is an amazing dairy place to dine...pizzas to main entrees..pricing is reasonable and food is great!

Albertson's has an unbelievable array of kosher products including a deli takeout counter..a big kosher section, a full bakery - the best cinnamon buns and danishes at least in that part of the hemisphere...and cheeses, salads and even sushi all under the hashgacha of VKS

both of those joints are on Mercer Island - around 20 min from SeaTac

Wasn't any availability from Starpoints to stay near Pikes Place downtown which is just beautiful so I got a cheap room near SeaTac for $60 (Coast Hotel) nothing to write home about but it's clean, freindly, full and FREE business center, full Cont. breakfast, FREE laundry and shuttle to the airport so no complaints here!

you could pick up some good rooms for cheap in Pikes Place so check betterbidding.com

more details to come soon!

Island Crust Cafe is one of the best kosher pizza joints around today IMHO...try the house garlic fries and specialty 'Dayenu' pizza loaded with the works for a culinary experience second to none...the caesar salad impresses along with the turtle cheesecake

over at albertsons....try the chinese noodles and coleslaw which are both slam dunk winners in my book..:) the wide vareity of great breads at the kosher bakery serve as the perfect foundation for a mouthwatering sandwich

as far as activities go...there is a cute mueseum downtown called Last resort fire mueseum with old firetrucks and alot of interesting artifacts...they seemed real happy to give us a tour....a great thing to do with kids....there is also pikes place market which is a shtickel overated but a nice thing to go see...parking averages about $4-8 an hour at most lots

Are you with family or by yourself? Did the Boeing tour a few years back, please remember it is in Everett which is about 45 min from Seattle. Fun tour if you are an aviation enthusiast. You can't take pictures and they are very strict about it. Whole tour lasts about an hour and you don't go onto the floor but rather a perch from up above.

You can try the museum of fight at Boeing filed which is in Seattle itself, nice museum and they have a Concorde on display. Seattle aquarium us real nice and if you have a car I would recommend the drive to NW trek Wildlife park in Tacoma.

Island crust cafe still has some of the best milchig you will ever have. Pizza is fres and creative but the whole menu is superb. You can also try bamboo garden which is a vegetarian Chinese place. This place is in city center and the food is delicious.

thanks...ended up going to the space needle which was quite cool especially around sunset...pizza place was also amazing as usual though they seemed to up their prices...but at least they deliver on quality.

if anyone has marriott points/nights, I can reccomend the courtyard in bellevue which is pretty central to everything. Great service, new rooms and a nice property.

I am going to Seattle next week for a day. I plan to go to the Boeing factory in Everett, hit up a shooting range in Everett as well, and of course get some pizza. Does anyone have any other ideas?
