CC - Business
« on: June 08, 2010, 10:45:34 PM »
I am looking to open a business credit card that eventually significant amounts of money will be put on it that has rewards in airlines, hotels and car rentals in that order?
Ideally a card that does not have hi/any fees and does not have a annual point limit.
What do you suggest the best option is?

Overall what is the best CC company to go with for something like this (Amex, Visa etc.)?
Which company has the best car insurance.

All responses would be appriciated (even if you dont have answers to all the question ;)).
...זכות הרבים תלוי בו - It's for a Moisad.

Many thanks,
m

Why all the hating lately?
I know this isn't the place for this, but it seems that a bunch of members are getting upset by people asking questions that have already been answered.
If it bothers you so much, just ignore it!!
He even said that this was for a moisad; hes probably overworked and underpaid, trying to squeeze every last cent out (miles hocking), and asks a quick question, and then we have to beat him down?
I don't mean to be harsh, but ease up on the guy.

I do tend to agree here. If we are tough with all the newbees, then they will be turned off, and leave the forums. Not everyone is a SUPERFLYER, but you never know who the next superflyer will be, so lets cut them some slack. :)

My point on the other thread which I think applies here is that it will be more helpful to do a quick search, get a general idea of what's going on and what they want and then they can ask. This way the question is more specific and easier to answer.
I by no means want people to feel turned off and if I have, my sincere apologizes.

Thanks for the replies I got thus far and sorry if I'm causing a rut.

(FYI: I did do a basic search...)

Is there any benefit with the "LIMITED TIME! 50k MR Points for Amex Gold Business" over Starwoods?

Still open to more input.

Thanks,

Mendy, welcome to the forum!

It would seem the best option is the Amex starwood Biz card.
1) Amex tends to give hi credit limits, which would suite you high spending.
2) Amex in general is probably the best card to have by far for the built in benefits and customer service.
3) For airline and hotel points the Starwood is once again the best.
4) The Starwood has one of the lowest annual fees

On the other hand since it's a Moisad and Mosdos do tend to struggle financially, you may want to have a card that has a low interest rate since you may very well be owing money at times, and you may want immediate access to the "points", in which case I would suggest the Amex Simply Cash card. It has a very low interest rate, gives you min. 1% cash back every month as a statement credit, and gives very high cash back on select items like cell phone bills -5%- and gas. Plus there no annual fee.

I've been feeling the same way lately. When a new guy comes in they do not know the ropes yet and you don't want to turn the off by being a "forum cop".

Perhaps it's time to have a "flame free" newbie thread where they can ask any question they want and we can then direct them to the correct thread.

amazing idea!!

it also gives aussie a chance to put in one of his uber-cool links to the appropriate thread, especially seeing as that I have a feeling that he'll be answering a good chunk of them.

Im not exactly sure why (being that the most recent time I checked I have a very good credit) but I was declined from amex for the following reasons:
One or more delinquency(ies) on revolving account(s) (Equifax Commercial)
Insufficient number of satisfactory accounts (Equifax)
Amount of credit available on accounts (Equifax)

Any ideas of how to go about this?

What would be the next best with another company?

Thanks,

That's really bad. It means there has been an account that hasn't been paid. It could be on the moisad. It will be very hard to get a credit card from any company, with that on your report.

You should check your report and check out that delinquency. If it's not yours then go through the dispute process and fix it before you get the card. When I applied for my first card they told me there was a delinquency, so I checked my report and found some bogus account I never had there, went through the process of fixing it and got my cards.
