Depending on which route you take (84) waterbury, CT is just about half way and they have an amazing restaurant called Kliens Kosher

I really liked the Boston Children's Museum as a kid.

There are plenty of historic sites if you're interested in that. (e.g. boston tea party ship, uss constitution, bunker hill)

I was in Boston about 7 years ago and I think I ate at the chinese place.
If I remember correctly, it was pretty good.

I ate at a deli once and the food was decent. Not much else to do in Boston though. And of course don't mention you're from NY - they hate New Yorkers.

I was in Boston recently and the thing that stood out the most was how fast everyone drives on the highways in Massachusetts!  Do cops ever give out tickets there? Whether the speed limit is 55 Or 65 everyone goes 80+ I was driving a packed 15p and going about 85 in a 55 (like everyone else) expect I didn't see a cop pull up right behind me.. He waited for me to slow down and he just pulled away! Besides that I went to the pizza shop in Brookline and it was really bad pizza. also they try to rip off out-of-towners I ordered half an onion pie. But they gave me a full pie with half onions saying we don't do just half pies you should know that.

Going to Boston with the kids for a few days, any recommendations on hotels? Need a room that sleeps 5, has a kitchenette and a pool (prefer in-door), and good location for kosher food and the below attractions.

We have a pretty general itinerary so far: science museum, aquarium, mapparium, duck tours, swan boats, childrens museum, freedom trail, harvard museum of nat history, and boston tea party ship, plus maybe six flags hurricane harbor.
Am I missing anything that is a must do/see?

Get a go card, you'll save yourself a lot of money.
Don't think you'll find a hotel to fit those requirements. Jewish area is around 15-20 minutes from downtown and traffic can be horrendous

The best tip I can give on Boston is try the University kosher dining hall. Very nice sized meal, great price. At the least, it's an alternative to expensive slow restaurant food.

for hotel we can live without the kitchenette. Why would it be hard to find a hotel with the rest of what we are looking for? I was told to find a hotel in brookline, rather than boston. Is that good advice?

If you want to be near the food/minyan rather than the attractions. Say there was no kosher food in Manhattan. And you wanted to do the sights in Manhattan but be near kosher food. You could stay in Manhattan but you'd have no food. Or you could stay in Brooklyn, queens or teaneck and have food but travel to the attractions

I'd stay downtown and commute to food.
Also the restaurants do deliver.
