Gary has reported that there's a good chance that soon C&P redemptions as well as award stays will count towards elite status.

This is awesome news for those that prefer not to have to spend too much to reach platinum.

For myself (a SPG Plat with SPG AX Consumer and SPG AX Business) to requal at the Sheraton Bandara Hotel, Jakarta, Indonesia

C&P nights:
21 stays at 700 points+$25.
Total of 14,700 points+$525 for SPG Plat.

Weekend nights:
21 stays at 1,500 points=31,500 points

------------------------------------------------------------------
Requal at 4P PIT:

C&P nights:
21 stays at 950 points+$25.
Total of 19,950 points+$525 for SPG Plat.

Weekend nights:
21 stays at 1,750 points=36,750 points

------------------------------------------------------------------
Requal at Sheraton CLE:

C&P stays :
21 nights at 1,100 points+$30.
Total of 23,100 points+$630 for SPG Plat.

Weekend stays :
21 nights at 2,500 points=52,500 points

But why do u only need 21 nights I know u get 10 nights from cc but wouldn't u still need 40 more

25 stays gets you SPG Plat.
You get 2 stays from each cc.

With consecutive nights you'd need to be there for 7 weeks.
As nice as the LMKL, LMCR and LMCM are, 7 weeks would be pushing it

As long as the nights are not consecutive you would only need 21 of them.

Often when you have an award stay with a charge it posts as a stay by accident. Has happened to be with SPG and Hyatt, but it's always YMMV.
